Ever played out something and then later wondered "What if?" Ever wondered what it'd be like to play your character a different way, but didn't feel like making a full thing dedicated to it? Now's your chance to play it out!

Using RNG you'll roll 1-3 for the level of the change, and 1-6 for the change itself, or if you want, pick your own based on what you wanted to do.

1)  Small Change: The flap of a butterfly's wings can cause tsunami's on the other side of the world.

-1: "A minute too late"- What if you missed something by a minute, or more? You missed the big meeting, the girl, helping that person, all because you were too late, what happens next?
-2: "The nick of time"- Just like the first, only that instead of missing something you got, that if you got something you missed because you were either too late, or just messed up? Congratulations! Let's just hope it's what you really wanted.
-3: "A little too early"- One more, what if you showed up early? It's suppose to be a good thing, is it this time?
-4: "The other choice"- You had two choices, left or right, heads or tails, Coke or Pepsi, now you get to see what would have happened with the other choice.
-5: "Oops!"- You slipped up, and made a mistake. Is it bad, or a blessing in disguise?
-6: Wild card/Pick your own- Thought of a slight change that'd make all the difference, or had one you wanted to play? Here's your chance.

2)  Medium Change: Didn't really see that coming, did you?

-1: Turning point change- That one thing that would have turned things in your favor went against you, and vice versa. How will you handle this critical change?
-2: "A Razor's edge"- That one moment that could have went either way has gone the opposite way of before. Is this a good thing, or a bad thing?
-3: Crossroads- You reached a point in your life where you had several choices before you, now's the time to go down another road and see where it leads.
-4: The Road less traveled- "Two roads diverged in the woods, and I took the one less traveled" Will it make all the difference?
-5: Interference- Something blocked you from getting something you were going for. What do you do once the moment is gone?
-6: Wild Card/Pick your own-Thought of a medium change that'd make all the difference, or had one you wanted to play? Here's your chance.

3)  Large Change: Why do all the people here have goatee's?

-1: Good/Evil- Use to be a good guy? Welcome to the dark side, here's your cookie. Former bad guy? Hand over the cookie tray and join the side of good. How will the change of moral compass change you?
-2: A different person- You're now a completely different person, literally. Are you taller? Shorter? A robot? A pony? Powers? No powers? Your call.
-3: The other sex- Rule!63 is in effect. Now how does this effect your relationships with the other?

So much for winning her over in six months, she was already thinking about a wedding. Duo just laughed and nodded along, somehow at ease with the whole thing.

"Sounds good. We can get Heero but... You really wanna fly to Dubai? Video call works just as well." But at the same time... "Though... Suppose it could double as a vacation?"

There was exactly no way in hell she was going to trade down from Duo to whatever distant relative. Relative. They would marry her off to if she didn't go through with marrying him. She was sold, if not for the right reasons just yet.

She hummed thoughtfully at the suggestion. "Well, I did say I was going to take a vacation once I get through all this paperwork, or we can ask them to stop by before they head back up, but I need to tell them in person that I'm a woman." Apologize to them properly for the secret, while she was at it.

"You did. I remember." Which was why he'd said it. So he was happy to go if it meant they could actually get some fun out of it. Flying out just to drop a bombshell didn't feel completely right in Duo's mind.

As they walked and talked, Duo had moved his hand to rest upon her shoulder and then chuckled. "Wonder which one'll get the biggest reaction?" he wondered. If it was Quatre, Duo had a feeling he knew which one.

She snorted softly, a little surprised by how comfortable it was to be snuggled up to Duo's side like this. Even with the elders gone, she didn't want to pull away. "Oh, it's definitely the tits," she replied with a laugh. "At least once they hear why you proposed," which was kind of weird to think about, that Duo grabbing her hand was the same as getting on one knee with a ring.

Wufei sighed softly, leaning her head against his shoulder. "I'm starting to think getting myself into so much trouble might've actually been worth it."

Duo burst out laughing. "Alright, you got me there." Wufei suddenly being a woman was going to raise a few eyebrows. Them getting married would raise the other eyebrow.

He cast Wufei a funny look, but cleared the expression with a smile a moment later. Did Wufei have any idea why he did what he did? Well, honestly he'd not realised he'd actually proposed when he'd taken her hand, but he'd been seconds from verbally asking.

"I don't. Least, I kinda wish it hadn't happened because you'd been captured. But hey, a light at the end of the tunnel that isn't hell fire? Sign me up!" he laughed again. "So need me to call a taxi or do you wanna rent a car?" his car was back at Howard's shipyard.

Wufei was completely and utterly clueless, she thought he was doing her the world's biggest favor, and it really hadn't hit her yet. That was going to be an interesting moment, if Duo was around when it happened.

She laughed with him, giving her head a little shake. "If you don't mind riding a motorcycle when we leave HQ, we can just take a cab and I can drop you off wherever you need to go afterwards. Do you have a place down here that you can stay, or do you want to take my guest room?"

"Don't mind. But if you're okay with it, crashing at your place'll save me the ball ache of finding a hotel." because no, he didn't have a place nearby. Maybe he should find a place close by...but getting an excuse to spend more time with Wufei wasn't a bad thing.

"Sure people won't talk and gossip if you start bringing strange men into your apartment?" Duo asked with a wide, teasing grin.

"Then you're welcome to stay," she replied lightly, and laughed at the question. "I'd be surprised if my neighbors don't think I'm a completely different person." She hadn't exactly been a social butterfly, and most of the people in her apartment building were white. "I bet if I change the way I do my hair every day they'll start thinking it's turned into a brothel," she teased. "But I do need you to make the call for the cab -- my phone got smashed on the mission," she didn't even have what was left of it in her possession, but that was also what raised the alarm for her handler.

Duo was already reaching for his phone, laughing all the while.

"Huh, guess its a good thing I'm makin an honest woman outta you." He teased some more. "Can't have them thinking you're running a brothel!" the idea was hilarious to Duo, but the people being dicks was a normal part of life. And while it generally pissed Duo off being able to predict the actions of stupid people, they always kept things entertaining.

He went ahead and called the cab for them for outside the port. "Shouldn't be long."

"I don't know, it might be nice to scandalize the elders but I'd rather not risk it until everything's settled," she chuckled, falling silent as he made the call and letting her gaze wander the area, more out of habit than anything.

"Do you think it'll change things much?" she asked softly, as they approached the port's exit gates. "When they find out that I'm a woman, I mean," she wasn't worried what they'd think about her marrying Duo -- if they didn't approve she'd kick their asses until they did.

"Huh? Hm... Y'know, I don't know. I'd hope not you're still you." Duo shoved his phone back into his pocket and gave her a lopsided smile. "It'll be an adjustment though. Heero might have the hardest time with it. But who knows? Might surprise you?"

Duo really hoped that everyone reacted well to this. Honestly it was still a little strange for him when he really thought about it, but at the same time Wufei was Wufei. That was all that really mattered to him.

"I am," she agreed. "It's not like I replaced him in the middle of the war or something," it had been her from the very beginning, she'd just been binding her chest and taking a hormone suppressant to delay puberty and the complications it would surely bring her.

"I'm sure I'll have to knock a few heads together while word spreads within Preventers, but that's practically a rite of passage for new recruits anyway," she smirked a little. "They think the little Chinese guy is gonna be a pushover, so they pick me over Yuy for hand-to-hand training, but he actually goes easier on them than I do," which was hilarious to see, when you knew how strong Heero actually was.

"You're not new thought. You're just... Wufei with extra parts! Sorta. Wait, you're telling me they pick on you?" Duo was kind of annoyed by that. He knew Wufei could handle herself, and clearly did, but he didn't like the idea of anyone picking on his friends.

A few times during the war and even after, he'd had to step in and help Heero in fact. The poor guy hadn't wasn't known for being social and dealing with people was more Duo's forte. Luckily they'd all gotten better at it over the years, but Duo still felt a little protective over his more socially inept friends.

Still he laughed. "They ever learn their lesson though?

She laughed when Duo derailed his own train of thought. "They try to pick on me," she corrected. "And they usually learn their lesson pretty quickly. There've been a few that keep it up, but they generally wash out or get shipped off to archives after too many HR notes in their file. I'm sure that won't change when I start wearing a bra instead of a binder." And god was she looking forward to that.

In fact... she pulled away, sticking her hand under her shirt and gave a few tugs, snapping the strings she'd used to sew her binder up. It didn't fully release, but it made a considerable difference. "Much better. For now."

Duo raised a brow when she pulled away, not sure what she was up to. When he realised he couldn't help but laugh. "We could make a pit stop at your place if you wanna make that change sooner instead of later?" he couldn't imagine it was comfortable at all and he was happy to make the detour.

And as for the assholes who made her life difficult... Duo was happy to hear most of them washed out. People like that pissed him off. Then again, he also actively antagonised people like that. He was judged himself for the way he looked, but the fact he was generally a happy kind of guy it disarmed most. Those who still tried to get a rise out of him soon learned the error of their ways.

That was a very tempting offer, and she considered the option for a long moment before nodding. "Might as well, but I'll need to warn Une that I'm doing it, if I can borrow your phone," a text was more likely to reach her quickly than a phone message, after all. "Luckily we'd discussed what we'd do if an opportunity like this presented itself, so it won't catch her or Sally entirely unprepared." Just mostly.

And when her binder was settled comfortably, she slid one of her hands back into Duo's without even thinking about it.

No hesitation. Duo pulled out his phone, unlocked it and handed it over.

"Uh... She probably already knows. I might have called Sally last night for a little advice...on some things..." Duo rubbed the back of his neck and laughed, but dropped his hand just in time for it to be taken by Wufei.

It was just a simple thing, but the smile Duo gave her was so damn happy. He knew he probably looked like an idiot. But he didn't care. Holding hands was kinda nice and he liked it and he was just glad that Wufei was on his good side, because that way she could lean against him without him wanting to curl up in a ball of agony.

"Well if she knows, Une does too," Wufei agreed. "But better to be safe than sorry. They both know I'd try to keep hiding it if the Elders didn't find out," and she didn't know how closely they were monitoring for that sort of activity, but she'd be damn surprised if they weren't.

She took the phone in her free hand, swiping her thumb around to send a text to them both, then locked the phone and offered it back. "Thank you. And start thinking about what you want to eat tonight, I'm sure what little is left in my fridge has become sentient by now."

"Surprised if they've not been running interference to keep as few people finding out as possible." He accepted the phone back and slid it back into his pocket. "Or brain storming a way to wipe my memory." He laughed.

"Food, huh. A guess a big, greasy burger is outta the question?" for some reason fast food always tasted better when he was on Earth instead of the colonies. Duo had never worked out why. Didn't really care though because he'd eat damn near anything.

"They might be," she agreed. "At least this'll take that off their plates." When he mentioned the burger, she shrugged. "I'm sure Sally will want me on a higher calorie diet than usual for a few days to make up for not getting enough while I was captured," and probably to cope with all the crap her body was doing because of the birth control failure. "There's a popular burger place near headquarters." It was a McDonalds.

"Then when we're done there we'll hit the burger joint." Duo confirmed cheerfully, glad that Wufei was game. Tomorrow they could have something a little healthier, today he just wanted something tasty and unhealthy.

The cab showed up around then and Duo had to let go of Wufei's hand so he could move around to climb into the car. Once settled inside they gave the driver Wufei's address for a quick stop. Duo would stay in the car and wait since he didn't think she'd take too long, then on to Preventers HQ and for an interesting experience.

The wait was indeed a short one. Wufei changed entirely from the borrowed safe house clothes to a preventers Uniform and a bra, returning with the used clothes in a bag and slipping back into the car.

And as they approached HQ, she took a deep breath, pulling her hair back into its usual overly-tight ponytail. "No need to give everyone two shocks in one day," she said lightly, trying to pretend that she wasn't extremely nervous about this. As the car rolled to a stop, she took a deep breath. "Okay."

It was almost a disappointment when Wufei pulled her hair back. He was just getting used to the look. But he understood why she was doing it and had to reach out to cover a hand with his own, giving it a gentle squeeze. "You've got this. I'm right there with you."

He let go and climbed out of the car. And just because he could, he walked around and opened the door for Wufei before offering his hand again. She was nervous, it was obvious, he hoped by being close he could help lessen that some. At least until they got in the building. He would let go then. No point in ruining her stoic reputation too soon.

The smiled she turned on him was soft and warm, like the center of a slightly undercooked brownie. "Thank the gods for that," she replied warmly, and when he opened the door for her, she took his hand, stepping out and taking another deep breath, rolling her shoulders and assuming her usual cool demeanor.

Her hand was tight on his -- enough that it was clear she was holding back from gripping his hand hard enough to hurt -- and walked right up to the doors like she owned the place, only releasing his hand at the last second as she stepped inside.

People stared. No one was stupid enough to speak as she strode past, but there were plenty of double-takes and quite a bit of rubbernecking.

At least until she got to Heero's office, knocking on the door in her usual pattern before pushing the door open and stepping inside. "Yuy," she greeted him, and dropped into the seat opposite his desk.

Duo didn't let it be shown that she was hurting his hand. So long as she didn't break his damn fingers he was fine with it. And would have been find with it if she'd kept hold of it. But once they entered the building, Duo just smiled.

He followed her through, his hands were in his pockets and his eyes on those around them just begging someone to say or do something. But no one did.

Soon enough they were at Heero's office and he almost burst out laughing at the way Wufei just walked right in and dropped into a chair. Duo side stepped, closed the door behind him and propped up the wall beside it. His arms crossed over his chest now, though one hand did raise in a little wave of wiggling fingers. "Yo."
