Ever played out something and then later wondered "What if?" Ever wondered what it'd be like to play your character a different way, but didn't feel like making a full thing dedicated to it? Now's your chance to play it out!
Using RNG you'll roll 1-3 for the level of the change, and 1-6 for the change itself, or if you want, pick your own based on what you wanted to do.
1) Small Change: The flap of a butterfly's wings can cause tsunami's on the other side of the world.
-1: "A minute too late"- What if you missed something by a minute, or more? You missed the big meeting, the girl, helping that person, all because you were too late, what happens next?
-2: "The nick of time"- Just like the first, only that instead of missing something you got, that if you got something you missed because you were either too late, or just messed up? Congratulations! Let's just hope it's what you really wanted.
-3: "A little too early"- One more, what if you showed up early? It's suppose to be a good thing, is it this time?
-4: "The other choice"- You had two choices, left or right, heads or tails, Coke or Pepsi, now you get to see what would have happened with the other choice.
-5: "Oops!"- You slipped up, and made a mistake. Is it bad, or a blessing in disguise?
-6: Wild card/Pick your own- Thought of a slight change that'd make all the difference, or had one you wanted to play? Here's your chance.
2) Medium Change: Didn't really see that coming, did you?
-1: Turning point change- That one thing that would have turned things in your favor went against you, and vice versa. How will you handle this critical change?
-2: "A Razor's edge"- That one moment that could have went either way has gone the opposite way of before. Is this a good thing, or a bad thing?
-3: Crossroads- You reached a point in your life where you had several choices before you, now's the time to go down another road and see where it leads.
-4: The Road less traveled- "Two roads diverged in the woods, and I took the one less traveled" Will it make all the difference?
-5: Interference- Something blocked you from getting something you were going for. What do you do once the moment is gone?
-6: Wild Card/Pick your own-Thought of a medium change that'd make all the difference, or had one you wanted to play? Here's your chance.
3) Large Change: Why do all the people here have goatee's?
-1: Good/Evil- Use to be a good guy? Welcome to the dark side, here's your cookie. Former bad guy? Hand over the cookie tray and join the side of good. How will the change of moral compass change you?
-2: A different person- You're now a completely different person, literally. Are you taller? Shorter? A robot? A pony? Powers? No powers? Your call.
-3: The other sex- Rule!63 is in effect. Now how does this effect your relationships with the other?
-4: A change in history- Something that happened in the past now has completely change or is now gone. One domino toppling the rest. Now that you've changed your past, how will it effect your future?
-5: Giving up- You walked away from something important to you? Do you regret it? Are you happy?
-6: Wild Card/Pick your own- Thought of a large change that'd make all the difference, or had one you wanted to play? Here's your chance.

She smiled warmly at that reply, and hummed in agreement. "I'm going to have to get used to public affection. It's not very common in my culture," but she didn't want to keep her love for him so hidden. And she had the distinct impression that she was going to enjoy the gooey stuff a lot.
no subject
However, he then remembered all the times she'd held his hand and leaned all over him over the last several days. Or kissing him at the night market. Maybe she wasn't as bad at public displays of affection as she claimed?
Trowa didn't mind being a broken record. But he smiled, stole a last kiss and then pulled back away from Quatre so that he could finish his breakfast.
"So plans for today include lounging around, hm?" he glanced across the table at the others. "Why don't you three go do something together?"
no subject
Quatre hummed happily into that last kiss before digging into his own breakfast with gusto. "Our gardens are lovely, and there's a water park not far from here. You'll need to be diligent about the sunscreen," he warned.
Glancing up at Duo and Wufei, Heero took a few seconds to consider. "That sounds nice." He didn't bring swim trunks, but it wouldn't be hard to find a place selling them near a water park, he didn't think.
no subject
He planned to marry her after all. They could take their time with the rest, it would all fall into place he was sure.
"Uh, yeah. Water park sounds good. Never been to one..." Theme park, sure. He'd tried his hand at that. But never a water park. And he could imagine this place did things a bit more extravagant than he was used to.
no subject
"I need one, too," Heero agreed with a nod.
no subject
"Guess we make a pit stop on the way there." He decided, since they all needed something.
"We can let you take one of the cars. That should get you around well enough." Trowa smiled up from the coffee he was sipping at. "Though if I remember correctly, you can buy swimsuits at the park. It's been a while since we were last there though."
no subject
"I'll drive," Heero offered between bites. "I've passed the water park a few times before," when he'd been driving Relena.
"And while you're doing that, we'll go file for our license, maybe arrange for some flowers for the ceremony, and meet you there," Quatre offered lightly.
no subject
"You're coming too, Quat?" Duo grinned, not having expected him to have the time with planning his wedding.
"We are?" Trowa raised a brow. He'd not realised either. But he wasn't against it. "I'll have to dust off my floaties."
no subject
"I'm glad I brought the fancy dress. I was going to save it for those stuffy Galas I have to pretend to be a guest at," Wufei said lightly.
no subject
"Uh...dont suppose you guys have a spare suit that'd fit me? Unless jeans and a t-shirt are good enough?" Duo owned precisely one suit. That he had worn once. When he was about 16. Even if he'd thought to bring it with him it was never going to fit him now.
no subject
Wufei smiled a little at that suggestion, in a decidedly unnerving way. "That sounds good to me," she chirped. "Heero and I can go claim a cabana while you three are running errands."
no subject
"You're not going to win, Maxwell. Just accept your fate." Trowa wasn't unsympathetic. He understood. It had been an adjustment to get used to this world himself.
Duo sighed and shot Wufei a look. "You're supposed to be on my side at least." was he pouting? Nah, Gundam Pilots didn't pout.
no subject
Heero almost hurt himself trying not to laugh.
"It's no trouble at all," Quatre replied blandly, as if he weren't the least bit aware of any tension. Mostly because he was too busy thinking about flowers.
no subject
He'd missed something. Again. He didn't know why or what, but it was leaving him feeling unsettled. So he'd just get this over and one with. Get the damn suit. Let someone else spend a small fortune on something he'd wear once and try not to feel like a shit about out.
no subject
Heero found his bacon to be very interesting, right about then.
no subject
He turned his head, smiled and kissed her lips softly. "I never said that."
"You're here to have fun, Duo. Enjoy yourself. Let your hair down." Trowa grinned. "Relax a little."
no subject
"Besides, you can think of it as a wedding present," Quatre replied lightly. "Every man should have at least one good suit, and I know better than to put you in something too expensive." Quatre was capable of being reasonable, and even a cheap suit would look exceptional if it were tailored.
no subject
"Yeah, don't... don't spend too much, Quat." And that was the main issue. He didn't much like spending so much on something that would get so little use. Even if they did have a bit of fun with it, suits like that just tended to hang in the closet. So why spend so damn much? Duo knew that was his own hangup though. So he just smiled for them.
no subject
Wufei side-eyed Quatre, but she didn't ask because she knew she didn't want the details. She'd worked plenty of those cases, after all, including one where Quatre's bulletproof suit jacket was used to shield people from grenade shrapnel.
no subject
"Alright. So when are we gonna do this then? This morning?" He get his fitting done while the others go to the water park and he meets up with them after? It was really the only decent time to do it, if the suit was to be ready in time. Duo wasn't sure how long those things took.
no subject
And then Wufei was the one shooting Quatre a look, which was summarily ignored.
"But yes, this morning," Quatre agreed. "And then we can all meet up at the water park and enjoy the day, or at least the morning. The sun and heat can get quite harsh in the afternoon."
no subject
"Don't be an asshole. And get outta the damn limelight if you're risking your damn life!" Did he sound annoyed? Good. He was.
"He is protected." Trowa spoke up calmly. He wouldn't deny he didn't like Quatre being so at risk, but security was tight, Quatre was as protected as he could be. It had worked so far.
Duo just shook his head and brushed it off. "Then we'll do that, I guess."
no subject
Once they were all finished, Quatre got up and led Duo and Trowa off to one of the cars, while Heero and Wufei took another -- though she gave Duo a quick kiss before they parted ways. And then it was off to the tailor's to get put up on a dais and measured every which way for the suit. Quatre held up a few nearly-identical black suits to Duo before selecting one that was (thankfully) not very expensive. Compared to everything else in the shop, anyway.
Then it was off to the water park, buying a pair of swim trunks, and seeking out the cabana that Wufei and Heero had claimed for them. Wufei was lounging on a lounging chair with a blue, gauzy sarong around her hips and a bright red one-piece suit, there was the big floppy hat on her head and sunglasses over her eyes as she sipped at some sort of blue drink with an umbrella, cherries, and a chunk of pineapple hanging off the rim. Heero was elsewhere, probably already in the water.

He didn't like some guy getting all up in his business. He didn't like standing around having someone touching him. He didn't know how Quatre could deal. Or Trowa. But he supposed at least one of them had been brought up to be okay with this kinda stuff.
But he handled it well. He didn't murder anyone at least. He did his best to keep a smile on his face and bantered like a pro, chatting about nonsense he couldn't even remember after he'd left.
And then they were off to the water park. Which was a huge relief. It was even something of a relief to get out of his clothes and into a simple pair of black trunks. He wasn't fussy, he could have gone for patterns or something funny. He'd seen one with rubber duckies on! But in the end he went for simple black.
He headed out to find Wufei and found her lounging. Duo grinned and began walking over, but slowed to a stop on actually seeing her. Once again he was struck by just how beautiful she was. It was so... so weird. Not long ago she'd been their friend Wufei, a man. And even then he'd been a hell of a beautiful looking man. But somehow, after shedding off that persona, on relaxing, she had softened her edges. She looked, well... she looked more feminine. Something Duo was very certain she was aiming for.
She was breathtaking.
Duo carried on walking, taking himself all the way over... where he bent down, stole one of her cherries from her drink, and then dropped himself onto the lounge chair beside her.
"I almost feel like I cheated on you today." Duo remarked as he popped the cherry in his mouth. "That guy touched me up one side and down the other!"
no subject
"And at least that means you've got your measurements done, don't have to do it a second time if you use a different suit for our wedding," she didn't think he was terribly likely to gain or lose much weight before then. She took another sip from her drink before setting it on a little table between their chairs and sat up. "What do you think? I looked at the bikinis, but I didn't like the idea of everyone else seeing so much of me," she wanted to save that for him alone.
