Ever played out something and then later wondered "What if?" Ever wondered what it'd be like to play your character a different way, but didn't feel like making a full thing dedicated to it? Now's your chance to play it out!

Using RNG you'll roll 1-3 for the level of the change, and 1-6 for the change itself, or if you want, pick your own based on what you wanted to do.

1)  Small Change: The flap of a butterfly's wings can cause tsunami's on the other side of the world.

-1: "A minute too late"- What if you missed something by a minute, or more? You missed the big meeting, the girl, helping that person, all because you were too late, what happens next?
-2: "The nick of time"- Just like the first, only that instead of missing something you got, that if you got something you missed because you were either too late, or just messed up? Congratulations! Let's just hope it's what you really wanted.
-3: "A little too early"- One more, what if you showed up early? It's suppose to be a good thing, is it this time?
-4: "The other choice"- You had two choices, left or right, heads or tails, Coke or Pepsi, now you get to see what would have happened with the other choice.
-5: "Oops!"- You slipped up, and made a mistake. Is it bad, or a blessing in disguise?
-6: Wild card/Pick your own- Thought of a slight change that'd make all the difference, or had one you wanted to play? Here's your chance.

2)  Medium Change: Didn't really see that coming, did you?

-1: Turning point change- That one thing that would have turned things in your favor went against you, and vice versa. How will you handle this critical change?
-2: "A Razor's edge"- That one moment that could have went either way has gone the opposite way of before. Is this a good thing, or a bad thing?
-3: Crossroads- You reached a point in your life where you had several choices before you, now's the time to go down another road and see where it leads.
-4: The Road less traveled- "Two roads diverged in the woods, and I took the one less traveled" Will it make all the difference?
-5: Interference- Something blocked you from getting something you were going for. What do you do once the moment is gone?
-6: Wild Card/Pick your own-Thought of a medium change that'd make all the difference, or had one you wanted to play? Here's your chance.

3)  Large Change: Why do all the people here have goatee's?

-1: Good/Evil- Use to be a good guy? Welcome to the dark side, here's your cookie. Former bad guy? Hand over the cookie tray and join the side of good. How will the change of moral compass change you?
-2: A different person- You're now a completely different person, literally. Are you taller? Shorter? A robot? A pony? Powers? No powers? Your call.
-3: The other sex- Rule!63 is in effect. Now how does this effect your relationships with the other?
-4: A change in history- Something that happened in the past now has completely change or is now gone. One domino toppling the rest. Now that you've changed your past, how will it effect your future?

The problem was he probably was going to be more careful now. More mindful of his words and actions. How could he not be? She might think he was safe now, but what happened if he did something wrong? Something that reminded her of a time before him? He'd stop being safe in a heartbeat.

Though it was weird as hell having someone call him 'safe'. He'd never had anyone say that of him before... Duo wasn't entirely sure how he felt about it. On one hand he loved it. Loved she felt safe enough with him that she could be herself. One the other... maybe he wanted her to think of him in more ways than a safety net? Duo knew that was asking too much though. Right now he had more than he ever thought he could have. More than he deserved. He had Wufei. She was his dream come true. He would be any damn thing she wanted him to be, so long as she smiled at him like that...

"I love you." He replied with a smile of his own. "I'm glad you accepted my proposal."

She would probably be pissed off if she knew that, but as it was she just felt happy. "I love you, too," she replied warmly, lifting their hands and pulling her innertube closer to his, so she could pull his hand close and kiss it. "I never imagined I'd be so happy about getting married. Or just be so happy in the first place."

Duo laughed as he was pulled along and he reached out with his other hand and grabbed at one of her legs to keep her close.

"Never expected to be marrying anyone, much less you. But there's no one I'd rather spend the rest of my life with... And I really kinda hate you're over there and not right here in my arms."

She giggled warmly, hooking her leg over his tube to help with keeping them together. "Well, if we see any couples innertubes, we can swap. I think I saw a few while we were hitting the slides."

They rounded a bend in the lazy river and their cabana came into sight, where Quatre had decided Trowa was in need of a back massage. "Just how much rubbing is required to get my wish, hmm?" he asked with a grin.

Idly he let his thumb stroke over her ankle where his hand rested upon her foot and he grinned merrily. "Then we need to make our way that way and grab one." He'd missed them earlier otherwise he would have suggested one from the start!

He glanced away at the sound of a familiar voice and laughed. "Can't leave you two alone for five minutes, huh?" Duo called out.

"You're one to talk, Maxwell." Trowa called back mildly, eyes close, smiling and happy. To Quatre he chuckled. "My heart, you can have anything you wish with the lightest of touches."

"I'm sure we'll drift past an empty one eventually," she replied lightly, and giggled warmly when Duo called out to Trowa and Quatre. "That was your fault for not putting us in a soundproofed bedroom," she added lightly.

Quatre grinned, pausing in his massage to wave to them. "Saying things like that is going to give me ideas, love," he teased warmly, and leaned down to kiss Trowa between the shoulder blades.

Trowa didn't bother replying, or pointing out that they hadn't needed one when they'd shown up. How were they to know she'd turn out to be a screamer? Instead he smiled and turned his head, eyes opening and turning to try and see Quatre over his shoulder. "You wish, as always, is my command."

Duo had laughed and continued to gently stroke Wufei's ankle, as lazy and relaxed as he could be. Grateful for the distraction. "Least we'll have a change of room when we get back." He smirked. "They're quick to fix their mistakes at least."

Quatre hummed happily, leaning down to whisper something in Trowa's ear. Of course the intention was to make Wufei and Duo think dirty thoughts, but in reality... "Tonight I'm going to draw a bubble bath for us, with all the candles and the soft, flowery scents. We can have wine and chocolate cake or tiramisu and hand-feed each other like it's already our honeymoon."

They started drifting away, around the bend, and Wufei giggled. "That they are. And we can spend as much time testing it out tonight as you'd like," she promised lightly. "Maybe follow it up with a light dinner in the garden."

Trowa's eyes fell closed when warm breath tickled his ear, his smile widening at those whispered words. He twisted a little, just his upper half so he didn't move Quatre from him, and kissed him. "Perfect." He whispered against those much loved lips. "That sounds ideal, love. But make it tiramisu."

He laughed again and rolled his head to look over at Wufei with a raised brow. "Shouldn't make promises like that..." He teased. "What if I never let you leave the bed ever again? I might never wanna let you go." Whether it was sex or just wrapped around her in sleep, Duo was already pretty much addicted to her being by his side.

Quatre smiled warmly, returning the kiss with a happy sigh. "Tiramisu it is," he agreed softly, kissing him again. "A perfect way to prepare for our wedding."

"I don't know, I could just retire and be your trophy wife," she said with a grin. "I'm quite the catch, and your bed is very quickly becoming my favorite place to be." If she didn't love her work so much she really would've considered it.

Soft kisses to warm his heart. Trowa loved each and every one. "Perfect." He agreed. "Every day with you is perfection, my heart."

"You're definitely a catch." Duo grinned. "But I don't think I could handle a trophy wife. Think I'd rather an equal. A partner. A wife." his eyes were on her as he spoke. He didn't reply on the bed, why did he need to? It was obvious how he felt about her and having her in his arms. But having her as is wife... It was hard to put into words how that made him feel.

"Even the days when I'm stuck in meetings for twelve hours and come home looking like a zombie?" Quatre teased with a warm smile.

Wufei met his eyes, smiling warmly as she did, and she could practically feel it. "Then that is what you shall have," she decided lightly, giving his hand a little squeeze as she took a sip of her drink. "At least outside China."

"Especially then. That's when I have the chance to take care of you." Trowa twisted a little more, his flexibility allowing it with ease, just so he could deliver another kiss to Quatre's lips.

"That's fine with me." Duo squeezed her hand back and then chuckled, breaking the mood a little with a teasing comment. "The sacrifices I make for falling in love with an Empress, huh?"

Quatre returned the kiss with a happy hum. "I really enjoy those nights, too, even though I'm fairly useless," but it made him feel deeply loved. "It's those nights I'm most thankful for you." He was always thankful for Trowa, but he felt it most acutely on those nights.

Laughing softly, Wufei grinned at him. "We just won't stay too long in China," she replied lightly. "I'm not fond of filling the Empress role, anyway. It wasn't just marriage I was avoiding, but that was a big part of it. I'm still waiting to see how bad things are going to get -- there's a chance the news in China is going to take interest, and unfortunately that means a great deal of hassle," she sighed, dropping her head back to gaze up at the clouds. "If they do, I should hire a PR firm," she wrinkled her nose.

"You're never useless. Worn out and in need of tlc is not the same as being useless, sweetheart." And Trowa wouldn't have Quatre saying that about himself, even in jest. He smiled though. Loving and gentle. Trowa enjoyed those times he was able to fuss over his husband-to-be. They were moments he held so very close to his heart.

And there it was. Duo took a breath... He'd promised that he would talk to Wufei about this but he hadn't had the chance... It was possibly why he felt a little edgy, not quite able to relax fully. He didn't like keeping secrets...

"Wufei... Listen." Duo gave Wufei's hand a little squeeze. "When we get back Quatre has a few things to show you. But it looks like the medias already gotten hold of this. The tabloids are already having a field day. Most of its bullshit but..."

He knew better than to disagree with Trowa, though that was his first inclination. "I suppose now that we're no longer at war, that's true," he conceded, and decided to follow up that little massage by simply laying himself out over Trowa's back with a happy hum.

Wufei turned her gaze back to Duo, brows going up. There was a flash of irritation when she learned Duo had been hiding things from her, but she sighed heavily as it quickly faded. "Duo," she said softly. "As much as I need your protection from my family, I don't need it from those vultures -- but it does mean it's only a matter of time before the paparazzi show up and start hassling us."

Trowa lowered himself back down, arms folded under his head, and smiled when he felt the weight of Quatre drop down lightly upon him. And it pleased him that Quatre hadn't argued, though he knew well enough to know the temptation had been there. "It's very true. And I love you. Heart and soul."

Duo winced and glanced away. He didn't let go of her hand though.

"That wasn't why..." He said softly. "I mean, not completely why. I'd just wanted you to have at least one day without havin to think about any of that. Without looking over your shoulder or worrying. I'd always planned on telling you today. I wasn't protecting you from your family, Wu. All I wanted was to... let you be free from it all. Just for a little while." And he had. He'd seen her so damn happy. That night at the market, when the tone had changed and he'd let her drag him away. Even that morning up until now. Duo sighed. "Yeah... yeah I know. I'm sorry. I should've said something sooner."

"I love you, too," Quatre agreed with a happy little hum, closing his eyes and letting himself drift happily.

Wufei squeezed his hand gently, bringing it close to kiss his knuckles. "That's... entirely too sweet," she said softly, pressing her cheek to his hand. "It has been nice to just relax with you," and she couldn't begrudge him wanting to give it to her. It made her wonder how she'd not fallen in love with him sooner -- or if he had been and just didn't notice it. "Jerk. Making me swoon when I'm trying to be mad," she gave his leg a nudge with her foot.

He glanced over when he felt a tug on his hand and had to lean to allow her to hold it to her cheek. He smiled softly, a hint of actual shyness to it as he cupped her cheek. "I know. I'm an asshole. But my heart was in the right place at least?" He knew how strong Wufei was, how tough she was. Man or woman, she was one of the strongest people he knew. It was one of the things he admired most. So he knew she could handle anything that was thrown her way... A million times better than he could himself. Duo had no idea how to handle the media, which was why he'd left it in Quatre's hands. All he'd wanted was a chance to just enjoy some quiet time with Wufei before the shit hit the fan.

Wufei deserved that. Deserved to know what it was like to just exist and be relaxed in her own body for once.

"How can I make it up to you, Wu?"

She hummed in agreement, leaning into his touch and closing her eyes for a moment. "You're not an asshole, you're obnoxiously sweet," she grinned, and let his hand go again. "And you already have, with this little oasis of peace," her grin faded to an almost sappy smile and she let out a long sigh as she looked at him. "Just stand with me. As my equal, even in China." Though she would need to take the lead on most things in China, she knew he would have her back even if most of the Chinese was going to fly over his head. "And you can educate me on my wifely duties," she added with a little giggle. "I'm sure you noticed from my surprise at your opening move, but my education in that area is somewhat limited." But she wanted to be able to do more for him, to find out all the strange and wonderful things sex could be.

And that's all he'd wanted. Just a moment of peace before the chaos. Duo smiled and dropped his hand onto the edge of his inner tube and settled back again.

"I'll forever be at your side, Wufei. For as long as you need me to." He knew when to back off, knew when to let her go running on ahead. He'd never be far behind though. Duo planned on always being close by, for support if nothing else.

"My opening move...?" Duo took a second to work out what she was actually talking about. 'Wifely duties' sounded so damn weird to him he couldn't work out what it was she meant. Until he did. It clicked and Duo burst out laughing, though his cheeks flushed. "That's... that's fine. I guess we'll learn together, huh? Just don't call it 'wifely duties'." Making it sound like a chore did very little for his ego.

She flushed darkly when he broke out laughing, but she was smiling at him anyway. "What should I call it, then? Getting laid sounds far too vulgar, and don't even get me started about the phrase pound town. I kicked two partners to the curb for using that phrase around me." She'd been more than a little relieved when Heero joined up, and she didn't have to worry about idiots being partnered up with her anymore.

Duo just shrugged. "Guess, if making love doesn't work for you, sex is a normal enough word to use." Getting laid was all well and good when it was just sex with no feelings. But he wasn't any more experienced with this as Wufei so all he could do was give her a lopsided smile and another shrug. "I'm not really sure, Wu. So you tell me. What did it feel like we were doing to you?"

Her cheeks went even darker, and she hummed softly. "Definitely making love," she decided softly, reaching for his hand again as they drifted towards an empty couple's innertube. "I certainly felt like I was being loved."

And the blush was spreading down to her neck.

"Then I was doing something right." Duo chuckled. There was no smugness there, just the kind of pleasure that came from being happy, from being pleased that his feelings had been translated so well. That Wufei had been able to feel what he had been feeling. It was his turn to pull her hand over and softly kiss it, though his eyes caught the movement of the other innertube and not quite able to help himself, he smirked. "Wanna get wet?"
