Ever played out something and then later wondered "What if?" Ever wondered what it'd be like to play your character a different way, but didn't feel like making a full thing dedicated to it? Now's your chance to play it out!
Using RNG you'll roll 1-3 for the level of the change, and 1-6 for the change itself, or if you want, pick your own based on what you wanted to do.
1) Small Change: The flap of a butterfly's wings can cause tsunami's on the other side of the world.
-1: "A minute too late"- What if you missed something by a minute, or more? You missed the big meeting, the girl, helping that person, all because you were too late, what happens next?
-2: "The nick of time"- Just like the first, only that instead of missing something you got, that if you got something you missed because you were either too late, or just messed up? Congratulations! Let's just hope it's what you really wanted.
-3: "A little too early"- One more, what if you showed up early? It's suppose to be a good thing, is it this time?
-4: "The other choice"- You had two choices, left or right, heads or tails, Coke or Pepsi, now you get to see what would have happened with the other choice.
-5: "Oops!"- You slipped up, and made a mistake. Is it bad, or a blessing in disguise?
-6: Wild card/Pick your own- Thought of a slight change that'd make all the difference, or had one you wanted to play? Here's your chance.
2) Medium Change: Didn't really see that coming, did you?
-1: Turning point change- That one thing that would have turned things in your favor went against you, and vice versa. How will you handle this critical change?
-2: "A Razor's edge"- That one moment that could have went either way has gone the opposite way of before. Is this a good thing, or a bad thing?
-3: Crossroads- You reached a point in your life where you had several choices before you, now's the time to go down another road and see where it leads.
-4: The Road less traveled- "Two roads diverged in the woods, and I took the one less traveled" Will it make all the difference?
-5: Interference- Something blocked you from getting something you were going for. What do you do once the moment is gone?
-6: Wild Card/Pick your own-Thought of a medium change that'd make all the difference, or had one you wanted to play? Here's your chance.
3) Large Change: Why do all the people here have goatee's?
-1: Good/Evil- Use to be a good guy? Welcome to the dark side, here's your cookie. Former bad guy? Hand over the cookie tray and join the side of good. How will the change of moral compass change you?
-2: A different person- You're now a completely different person, literally. Are you taller? Shorter? A robot? A pony? Powers? No powers? Your call.
-3: The other sex- Rule!63 is in effect. Now how does this effect your relationships with the other?
-4: A change in history- Something that happened in the past now has completely change or is now gone. One domino toppling the rest. Now that you've changed your past, how will it effect your future?
-5: Giving up- You walked away from something important to you? Do you regret it? Are you happy?
-6: Wild Card/Pick your own- Thought of a large change that'd make all the difference, or had one you wanted to play? Here's your chance.

It was why he split off and bought one of those good luck charms. At another stall he bought several little bags of tea that he and Wufei could try. But it was that cotton candy guy that he eventually gravitated toward and watched with awe. "Hey, Wu? You want one?"

"Never seen a moon cake. But I'm getting one of these." He decided cheerfully and put in his order for one of the flower cotton candies for himself and Wufei.

"It's beautiful," she decided warmly... and tugged a little chunk off the edge, popping it into her mouth with a delighted sound. "Oh, it melts! I thought it would be more like dragon's beard," she laughed.

When it was finally done, Duo grinned and paid for it before taking hold and... looking at Wufei in utter shock. "You've never had cotton candy before? This is... this is a travesty!" He's gasped, very dramatic. He was setting himself up for an Oscar! "Wu, we can't let this slide. What else are you keeping from me?"

But since it was all a joke he laughed.
"Would you like me to seduce you?" He said once he'd calmed down, grinning as he decided to hell with it and finish the bit.

"That's not how the quote goes..." He started... then realised there was a reason that wasn't how the quote went, because he was probably the only one quoting the damn movie. A warm flush darkened his cheeks. For a moment he was quiet, but then he gave a low chuckle and leaned in to take that little piece of spun sugar from Wufei's fingers. He brought a hand up to gently take her wrist, holding the hand steady. And, to mimic what she had done earlier, after nipping the floss, he delicately licked her finger clean of any sugary residue. "The lady does have a point, it's hard to argue... And I kinda don't want to."

Though Quatre's words did come back to him then, and he knew he shouldn't keep his guard up here. Knew he shouldn't be making assumptions when he genuinely had no idea what was going on in Wufei's mind or what her feelings truly were.
It was all while he was thinking this that his free hand had slipped behind Wufei to lie flat against the small of her back. A little pressure and he'd pressed her flush to his chest. "When I want to, huh?" He asked, his own voice low enough to almost be a whisper. She was so close. So damn close...
Before he could stop himself he'd closed that distance to press his lips to hers firmly.

That. Was a very nice kiss.

Duo cleared his throat. And glanced to either side, this was probably a little bit too public a place to be doing this.
"My timing's never been too great." He spoke, voice a little rough, more than a little distracted.
no subject
"No? It seemed alright to me," she replied, voice a little huskier than it had been a moment before.
no subject
"Maybe it's just me. Guess you could say I'm kinda shy..." at least when it came to public displays of affection in such a crowded kind of place. "I shoulda waited."

The truth was, even if they were guests of Quatre, and he wss sure there were people watching them to make sure nothing bad happened, he also knew that certain people might take offence to their kissing in the street. They might have even tried to hurt Wufei. And Duo couldn't let that happen.
The fact he was also a little self-conscious didn't much matter.
Duo reached out and took Wufei's hand as they walked, chuckling when he realised where they were going. "More new dresses, huh?"

He reached out to take the edge of a teal coloured dress and tilted his head as he looked it over, then dropped it in favour of a deep maroon dress that he pulled out for a closer look. "They'd all look amazing on you."
no subject
Transaction finished, she reached for his hand again. "Now," she said warmly. "We can go find a little privacy."
no subject
His hand was taken again and as they began walking he couldn't help laugh. "Oh yeah? Can't get enough of me, huh?" ah, the old humour to cover his nervousness, bad habits die hard.

After they'd passed, Quatre leaned over towards Trowa. "What do you think, trouble, or we're just not going to see them again until tomorrow?"
no subject
Trowa just watched them go, a look of amusement on his face. He curled an arm around Quatre's waist and shook his head. "I think you'll be lucky if you see them in the morning." Though judging by Duo's expression he might just run screaming into the night. He hoped not. The guy could learn to relax a bit.
