Ever played out something and then later wondered "What if?" Ever wondered what it'd be like to play your character a different way, but didn't feel like making a full thing dedicated to it? Now's your chance to play it out!

Using RNG you'll roll 1-3 for the level of the change, and 1-6 for the change itself, or if you want, pick your own based on what you wanted to do.

1)  Small Change: The flap of a butterfly's wings can cause tsunami's on the other side of the world.

-1: "A minute too late"- What if you missed something by a minute, or more? You missed the big meeting, the girl, helping that person, all because you were too late, what happens next?
-2: "The nick of time"- Just like the first, only that instead of missing something you got, that if you got something you missed because you were either too late, or just messed up? Congratulations! Let's just hope it's what you really wanted.
-3: "A little too early"- One more, what if you showed up early? It's suppose to be a good thing, is it this time?
-4: "The other choice"- You had two choices, left or right, heads or tails, Coke or Pepsi, now you get to see what would have happened with the other choice.
-5: "Oops!"- You slipped up, and made a mistake. Is it bad, or a blessing in disguise?
-6: Wild card/Pick your own- Thought of a slight change that'd make all the difference, or had one you wanted to play? Here's your chance.

2)  Medium Change: Didn't really see that coming, did you?

-1: Turning point change- That one thing that would have turned things in your favor went against you, and vice versa. How will you handle this critical change?
-2: "A Razor's edge"- That one moment that could have went either way has gone the opposite way of before. Is this a good thing, or a bad thing?
-3: Crossroads- You reached a point in your life where you had several choices before you, now's the time to go down another road and see where it leads.
-4: The Road less traveled- "Two roads diverged in the woods, and I took the one less traveled" Will it make all the difference?
-5: Interference- Something blocked you from getting something you were going for. What do you do once the moment is gone?
-6: Wild Card/Pick your own-Thought of a medium change that'd make all the difference, or had one you wanted to play? Here's your chance.

3)  Large Change: Why do all the people here have goatee's?

-1: Good/Evil- Use to be a good guy? Welcome to the dark side, here's your cookie. Former bad guy? Hand over the cookie tray and join the side of good. How will the change of moral compass change you?
-2: A different person- You're now a completely different person, literally. Are you taller? Shorter? A robot? A pony? Powers? No powers? Your call.
-3: The other sex- Rule!63 is in effect. Now how does this effect your relationships with the other?
-4: A change in history- Something that happened in the past now has completely change or is now gone. One domino toppling the rest. Now that you've changed your past, how will it effect your future?

"The lipstick or holding my hand?" Duo asked in amusement as they left the room and headed out into the hallway. He gave her hand a little squeeze. It was strange just how used to it he was becoming. It was almost like second nature now. The handholding at last. The lipstick was new and interesting. He wouldn't have said that bright a red would have suited her, but it did. It was bold. Just like she was.

She'd tried a few shades before settling on the red. The pale orange that was popular in Asia at the moment, some of the darker reds and maroons, but had settled on the red for exactly that reason. It demanded attention, made a very quick, clear confirmation that she was indeed a woman, especially to those who were used to seeing her as a man.

The question got a warm laugh. "Your hand. The lipstick still feels a little weird, especially if I forget I'm wearing it and happen past something reflective. I almost walked into a door last week because I startled myself with it."

"Won't lie... It looks good, but I still get that little second of 'whoa, Wufei's into that?'. Then I remember. Which is funny, because as a guy you'd have suited it too." Was it any wonder he'd spent most of his teen years in a state of confusion over his sexuality because of Wufei? Nope. Not at all. Not when he knew what he did now.

Then he was laughing lightly. "Guess seeing yourself this way's a big adjustment, huh? You know you can take it slow, right? No need to throw yourself in the deep end. Just take your time findin out who you are now." He grinned and cast her a sideways look. "But for what it's worth? I like the sundresses."

She gave her head a little shake. "I would've been petrified by the very idea," she admitted. "But then, I would've assumed you'd see right through me if I did."

When he laughed, she nudged his shoulder with hers gently, grinning at him. "Well, I think I've waded as far out into the makeup pool as I'm likely to. All the rest of it seems very complicated," and when he complemented the dresses, she blushed. "Me, too. I used to hate dresses when I was younger, but now that I've spent so long hiding... it's nice to embrace it. I feel beautiful, especially when you look at me."

"You overestimate me, Wu!" He might have had his suspicions if he'd caught Wufei playing with lipstick, but he would never have guessed in a million years what the truth actually was.

"I said before, I could probably help... I've learned a couple things in my time." Duo grinned widely. "I'll tell you those stories another day though." Because they would take time and privacy. Not that he was ashamed at all, but because he was pretty sure he'd get a good laugh out of Wufei. And the stories would take a while. Interruptions would just ruin them.

"You are beautiful." Duo shot her a glance again, his grin softening and warming. "Always have been. Just now it makes sense."

"I think I overestimated everyone, in that particular regard," she agreed with a smile, and snorted softly at the offer. "Well, if it ends up being western style makeup, I'll have you help me, but if I go for a more traditional Chinese look," she shrugged. "Even back home, you have to hire someone out of a playhouse for that."

She blushed when he called her beautiful, pulling his hand up and pressing a kiss to his knuckles, leaving behind a little smudge of red. "Ah, sorry," she said when she saw it. "It said it wasn't supposed to smudge."

"There's a difference?" Duo asked curiously. He supposed it wouldn't hurt to look up tutorials on it... But at the end of the day he was sure it would be Wufei who wanted to learn on her own. Not from some guy who had some weird skills in that area.

His hand was kissed then, strangely. And Duo laughed seeing the smudge it left behind. "It's no problem. Never believe what they say. Same with waterproof band aids. They're never water proof! Besides, I think that shade looks good on me too."

Wufei nodded. "Generally it involves makeup to make the skin lighter, blush and lipstick. If you're going back to older traditions, a design is painted on the forehead. It's not the sort of makeup most women wear on a daily basis," which was why you went to someone who did stage makeup for it.

She shook her head. "So what you're saying is I shouldn't have bothered putting it on right before I eat?" she teased lightly. "Well, it was worth a try anyway, I suppose."

"I think findin your own style'd be best for you. Work out what works better for you. Not what everyone else or tradition tells you to."

"Depends, Wufei! Did you plan on makin out with the kebabs?" Duo teased. "I think you look good, you think you look good, it'll work out." And if it fades a little after eating, so what? She could just add more or just leave it until later. No one would judge her he was sure of that.

"I doubt I'll end up with something so traditional," she agreed with a smile. "But it's an option I'm not willing to put all the way off the table yet." Not until she'd picked out her dress.

"I suppose that depends on how seductive it would be," she teased him right back with a grin.

"Whatever you decide on'll look good." He knew it without having to see it. Because how could it not? Unless Wufei decided to be funny and rock up in green and orange face paint or something weird.

"Depends on who you're trying to seduce." Duo smirked. Because if it was with the food Rashid made, he could imagine the big guy on his knees in front of Wufei in a heartbeat begging for her hand. Duo... might have to kindly tell him to fuck off if he tried that though.

Lucky for him, she wasn't much of a prankster or she just might try to scare him into thinking she was planning something that outrageous.

"I suppose I could try Quatre, he'd be plenty challenging," considering he couldn't keep his eyes off of Trowa for more than ten seconds at a time.

"I'd be challenging at what?" Quatre asked when their voices reached him through the doors to the garden that were standing open. Letting all the heat drift in. Luckily it wasn't windy, so the heat wasn't spreading too badly.

"Seducing you." Duo replied easily, grinning a wicked little grin as he stepped out into the garden.

Trowa, sitting not far from Quatre's side, just raised a brow. He looked rather amused, until he looked over at Wufei and he cocked his head to the side contemplatively and looked her up and down. "... Perhaps."

"Hey!" Damn. Backfired. Duo stepped in front of Wufei and held up an arm, shielding her from Trowa's gaze. "Eyes up here, buddy!" He might have barked the words, but he was obviously trying not to laugh. Trowa didn't even bother holding back his own laugher and held up both of his hands in surrender.

Wufei laughed, too, ducking around Duo with a grin. "You can't blame him for looking a little -- as far as he's concerned, they're brand new."

Shaking his head, Quatre smiled at both of them, pouring some more tea. "I don't know, if we ever want to have children..." he smirked.

Duo pouted. Even more so at Quatre. "Asshole." He muttered and pulled out a chair to drop himself into. It was hard to keep up the pissed off routine and soon he was back to smiling and leaning over to grab himself a cup of tea.

"So you guys think about having kids?" Duo asked then, just out of curiosity.

"Doesn't everyone?" Trowa already had a drink of his own and sipped at it.

Wufei smiled as she sat next to him and took a teacup of her own, having a sip. "I made Duo spill hot coffee on himself the first time I brought it up," she said with a little smile.

That had Quatre laughing. "One of my sisters is going to have a baby soon, so it came up a bit more organically for us, but... things have gotten remarkably stable. Even my schedule," though it had taken considerable work and a few big sacrifices. "It's starting to feel like the right time."

"Not my fault!" Duo protested. "In my defence... you just blurted it out. And I can barely keep a house plant alive!" And yet... one day he did actually want kids. He glanced at Quatre and smiled. Because he wanted that. He wanted stability before kids came into the equation. A stable home, relationship, job, life. Once all that fell into place kids would happen, he was sure of that.

"You guys'd make great dads." Duo said warmly. "And I'd make an awesome uncle!"

Wufei laughed. "I did, without even thinking about it. To be fair, I was in quite a bit of pain at the time," and it had been her first experience with that particular discomfort.

It took Quatre all of ten seconds to realize just what kind of pain it must have been before he started laughing. "The only thing worth putting up with it, huh? And we certainly plan to, but if you're going to be an awesome uncle, you're going to have to visit more."

Duo leaned back in his seat, legs stretched out and braid hanging over the back of the rest, almost touching the ground. His arms crossed over his chest and smiled. "You were. You took me by surprise... But I do want kids, one day." His smile widened. "Maybe a little girl...?"

He tilted his head to look over at Quatre and raised a brow. "Not my fault you guys live on the other side of the world! But I guess I could make more of a habit than I've been doing... I'll probably be keepin my feet on the ground a little more now." No need to go hiding amongst the stars any more.

Her smile warmed when he said he wanted kids, and laughed when he suggested a girl. "I don't think we get to choose if we do it the old-fashioned way," she teased, but the idea of a little one running around was a delightful thought.

"Oh? What're you planning to do down here in the dirt with the rest of us ground-bounders?" Quatre teased lightly, just as Rashid hefted a large platter from next to the grill a few yards away and brought it over.

"Lamb kebabs, fresh from the grill! Kitchen should be sending out the tzatziki and salad soon," Rashid announced as he set the platter down.

"Boy or girl is fine with me, but I dunno. A little girl to dote on kinda sounds nice." He laughed to himself and gave a little shake of his head before answering Quatre. "I'm a work in progress, Quat. Not sayin I won't go up, but I'll keep most of my time down here with the rest of you ground-bounders." He grinned. "Maybe see if the Preventers need the use of a mechanic... Or anywhere else really. It wouldn't take me long to find a job..."

He trailed off then as food was brought directly to them and he sat himself up. "Rashid, my man, you've outdone yourself! Looks amazing!"

Trowa had been quietly watching the goings on, smiling and keeping his thoughts to himself. However now he spoke. "The Preventers would do well to snap you up before someone else does."

"Well, if a little boy comes first, I guess we'll just have to have two," she replied lightly, scooting to the front of her seat as Rashid brought over the kebabs.

"They look lovely," she said warmly when he used tongs to dole a few kebabs out. "Working for Preventers is one of his many options, but probably the most complicated. Une will accept whatever terms he puts to her, but she'll try to drag him into the field whenever she can justify it. It might be less stressful for him to work elsewhere," she shrugged.

"I was honestly a bit surprised when you agreed to join them," Quatre agreed, offering Rashid a quiet thanks as more kebabs than he would be able to eat were piled onto his plate.

Duo just shrugged. "Une will just have to get used to hearing the word no." and he had no problems on throwing it at her as often as he needed to. If she accepted his terms. And if she didnt... If it became apparent that she was going to try and get more out of him than he was willing to give, he'd go elsewhere.

"I've options." Duo smiled and scooted his own chair closer to the table. "It'll work out. But why were you surprised, Quat?"

"Well, not to be indelicate, but... Une's the director," Quatre replied with a little shrug. "I didn't think any of us would be willing to work with a member of Oz so quickly after the war."

There was a subtle uptick in tension in Wufei's shoulders, but she smiled through it. "I suppose that makes sense," she said softly, "but the truth is she protected me from something truly awful when Oz had me prisoner." And she let them draw their own conclusions about what. It was well known enough that she'd been shot after saving Wufei and Duo on the lunar base, and if they chose to think it was death Une had saved Wufei from, that was fine by her.

"She has her reasons. Heero has his. I'm personally not a fan... But if she stays in her lane I can't complain." Duo...wasnt about to explain why Wufei was on friendly terms with Une, it wasn't his place and he didn't think it was anyone else's business.

However... "If she was still crazy Heero would've killed her by now, right?" Duo grinned over at Quatre and gestured toward him with a piece of kebab. "Pretty sure you'd have had your people fall all over the Preventers HQ if you figured for a second there was somethin up. So it's gotta be safe, right?"
