Ever played out something and then later wondered "What if?" Ever wondered what it'd be like to play your character a different way, but didn't feel like making a full thing dedicated to it? Now's your chance to play it out!

Using RNG you'll roll 1-3 for the level of the change, and 1-6 for the change itself, or if you want, pick your own based on what you wanted to do.

1)  Small Change: The flap of a butterfly's wings can cause tsunami's on the other side of the world.

-1: "A minute too late"- What if you missed something by a minute, or more? You missed the big meeting, the girl, helping that person, all because you were too late, what happens next?
-2: "The nick of time"- Just like the first, only that instead of missing something you got, that if you got something you missed because you were either too late, or just messed up? Congratulations! Let's just hope it's what you really wanted.
-3: "A little too early"- One more, what if you showed up early? It's suppose to be a good thing, is it this time?
-4: "The other choice"- You had two choices, left or right, heads or tails, Coke or Pepsi, now you get to see what would have happened with the other choice.
-5: "Oops!"- You slipped up, and made a mistake. Is it bad, or a blessing in disguise?
-6: Wild card/Pick your own- Thought of a slight change that'd make all the difference, or had one you wanted to play? Here's your chance.

2)  Medium Change: Didn't really see that coming, did you?

-1: Turning point change- That one thing that would have turned things in your favor went against you, and vice versa. How will you handle this critical change?
-2: "A Razor's edge"- That one moment that could have went either way has gone the opposite way of before. Is this a good thing, or a bad thing?
-3: Crossroads- You reached a point in your life where you had several choices before you, now's the time to go down another road and see where it leads.
-4: The Road less traveled- "Two roads diverged in the woods, and I took the one less traveled" Will it make all the difference?
-5: Interference- Something blocked you from getting something you were going for. What do you do once the moment is gone?
-6: Wild Card/Pick your own-Thought of a medium change that'd make all the difference, or had one you wanted to play? Here's your chance.

3)  Large Change: Why do all the people here have goatee's?

-1: Good/Evil- Use to be a good guy? Welcome to the dark side, here's your cookie. Former bad guy? Hand over the cookie tray and join the side of good. How will the change of moral compass change you?
-2: A different person- You're now a completely different person, literally. Are you taller? Shorter? A robot? A pony? Powers? No powers? Your call.
-3: The other sex- Rule!63 is in effect. Now how does this effect your relationships with the other?
-4: A change in history- Something that happened in the past now has completely change or is now gone. One domino toppling the rest. Now that you've changed your past, how will it effect your future?

She hummed happily, letting her eyes drift closed again. "Yeah, she is, but sometimes she's right. I'm very stubborn, you'll recall," she chuckled warmly, her hand still sliding up and down his side lazily. "I'm glad you still believe that. I worried, even though I know you better than that, I worried it would change the way you look at me, but it hasn't. Not in a bad way, anyway," she could feel his protective rage when the topic came up, and it was a balm to her soul.

"I know you're stubborn. Knew it from the start. Even more now. You'd have to be to have kept this all up for as long as you did." Duo was pretty sure he would have gotten frustrated after a while or just gone into hiding. Maybe actually faked his death and reincarnated himself anew.

"You really worried about that?" Duo raised a brow and looked down at her curiously. "I guess... Yeah. Okay I guess it's changed the way I look at you. But no, not in a bad way. I don't think you're weak. I'm in awe at how strong you are. Because now you're more you, y'know? Before I could always tell there was something you were hiding. But we all were. All hiding or running away from something. I'm just glad I get to meet the real you."

She smiled, chuckling a little when he agreed that she was stubborn, opening her eyes to look up at him. There was warmth there, like a cup of hot cocoa.

"Yeah, I was. I'm glad I didn't need to be." He still cared deeply for her, loved her, and it made her feel things that she didn't even have words for. "No more hiding, ever again," she promised him, eyes drifting closed again. "Unless it's in your arms."

"Don't mind you hidin in my arms. Not one little bit." He really liked it in fact. It felt a little strange when he let her go but he knew that was just him being silly.

"Think you can get more sleep?" he asked gently, pitching his voice low. "Think we've a an hour or two more."

She nodded in agreement, letting out a happy sigh. "You're comfortable?" she asked, because she didn't want to stop him from getting more, either. She was sure that if he wasn't they'd be able to find a position comfortable for them both -- there were going to need to, if sleeping in his arms was the best way to keep the nightmares from waking her up.

"Comfortable enough." He reassured lightly. While it was weird having a whole other person on top of him, he figured he'd get used to it. All he wanted right then was to keep Wufei close and let her rest. If he became uncomfortable he would just roll to the side and lay like that with her. But this was fine. She wasn't really that heavy after all.

"I'll doze. I'm pretty much awake now." Duo promised he'd rest while she slept though, it was the best he could offer her.

She hummed in agreement, her hand finally going still against his side, and let herself drift. It took a while for her to drift off, but eventually she did, the steady thump of his heart under her ear lulling her off. This time, at least, the dreams didn't touch her.

Duo continued to run his hand up and down her back, gentle and calm, smiling as he felt Wufei relaxing into sleep. Once he was certain she had, his smile faded away and his eyes closed, though he didn't sleep. He dozed and relaxed and waited until he finally heard someone knocking on the door and calling them to dinner.

After a call of assurance back, Duo turned his attention to the sleeping form upon his chest. She looked beautiful... and so at peace. He really didn't want to do it but he knew he'd have to wake her up. So he sighed and lifted a hand to gently stroke her cheek. "Wufei? Time to wake up." He called to her.

She hummed softly when he spoke, letting out a big sigh as she started to wake. A few seconds later her eyes cracked open, and she reached up to rub the sleepers out of them. "Hey," she said softly, a sleepy smile lifting on her lips as she remembered where she was, why. "No bad dreams this time."

"No, none this time." Duo grinned, thoroughly enjoying watching Wufei waking up. If she was beautiful when asleep, she was fucking adorable all sleepy and waking. "Got a few more hours. But time to eat now." He didn't move though, he wasn't about to move her himself. If she said the word he'd stay there as long as she wanted, Quatre and Trowa could wait. He was sure they'd understand.

She hummed happily in reply, stretching out and letting out another sigh. "Food sounds good," she decided. She pulled away slowly, but once they were no longer touching it was like someone hit the fast forward button on her movements. She grabbed her toiletry bag off the dresser and pulled out her toothbrush and paste. "Want dibs on the bathroom?"

Duo chuckled and waited for her to pull away and then climb off of the bed before he rolled himself to the side and sat on the edge of the bed.

"Mind if I head in first?" Duo grinned crookedly. He may have been waiting for her to wake up rather than risk waking her. So he may have been in need of the bathroom for a little while but holding out for as long as he could. Maybe.

She shook her head. "Go on," she replied lightly, digging around in her toiletry bag a little. She found her mascara and lipstick, and used the mirror over the dresser to very carefully apply the mascara.

Throwing her a little mock salute, Duo hopped up, grabbed his things and headed for the bathroom to do what he needed to do.

When he came out a few minutes later it was with an excited smile. "Holy shit, when I get the chance I'm using that shower! It's got more dials than Deathscythe ever had!" a power shower that modes Duo couldn't even dream of. And he wanted to try them all.

Her eyelashes were darker and thicker by the time Duo returned, and she grabbed her lipstick, toothbrush, and toothpaste. "Oh, one of the fancy ones?" She asked as she went into the bathroom and let out a low whistle. "You can have the shower, I'm taking the jacuzzi," she announced with a laugh, closing the door behind her.

She took only slightly longer than he had, doing her business, brushing her teeth, and putting on the lipstick twice, because she messed it up the first time. Her lips were cherry red as she emerged, heading back to the dresser for her brush, pulling it through her hair a few times to be sure all the snarls were out. "Ready?"

"Fine with me! Heavenly massage over bubbles any day!" Duo laughed and, while she was busy in the bathroom, he went and changed his shirt and gave his hair a brush and was just finishing tying the end off when Wufei returned.

"Lookin good." He smirked. "That shade suits you. And yep, good to go." Feet shoved into boots, Duo stood up and held out his hand. "Shall we?"

She smiled right back, slipping into her shoes and sliding her hand into his. "I'll be honest, I'm a little surprised this started feeling so normal so quickly," she said as they stepped out into the hall. Another reason to add to the list of things that made this the right decision.

"The lipstick or holding my hand?" Duo asked in amusement as they left the room and headed out into the hallway. He gave her hand a little squeeze. It was strange just how used to it he was becoming. It was almost like second nature now. The handholding at last. The lipstick was new and interesting. He wouldn't have said that bright a red would have suited her, but it did. It was bold. Just like she was.

She'd tried a few shades before settling on the red. The pale orange that was popular in Asia at the moment, some of the darker reds and maroons, but had settled on the red for exactly that reason. It demanded attention, made a very quick, clear confirmation that she was indeed a woman, especially to those who were used to seeing her as a man.

The question got a warm laugh. "Your hand. The lipstick still feels a little weird, especially if I forget I'm wearing it and happen past something reflective. I almost walked into a door last week because I startled myself with it."

"Won't lie... It looks good, but I still get that little second of 'whoa, Wufei's into that?'. Then I remember. Which is funny, because as a guy you'd have suited it too." Was it any wonder he'd spent most of his teen years in a state of confusion over his sexuality because of Wufei? Nope. Not at all. Not when he knew what he did now.

Then he was laughing lightly. "Guess seeing yourself this way's a big adjustment, huh? You know you can take it slow, right? No need to throw yourself in the deep end. Just take your time findin out who you are now." He grinned and cast her a sideways look. "But for what it's worth? I like the sundresses."

She gave her head a little shake. "I would've been petrified by the very idea," she admitted. "But then, I would've assumed you'd see right through me if I did."

When he laughed, she nudged his shoulder with hers gently, grinning at him. "Well, I think I've waded as far out into the makeup pool as I'm likely to. All the rest of it seems very complicated," and when he complemented the dresses, she blushed. "Me, too. I used to hate dresses when I was younger, but now that I've spent so long hiding... it's nice to embrace it. I feel beautiful, especially when you look at me."

"You overestimate me, Wu!" He might have had his suspicions if he'd caught Wufei playing with lipstick, but he would never have guessed in a million years what the truth actually was.

"I said before, I could probably help... I've learned a couple things in my time." Duo grinned widely. "I'll tell you those stories another day though." Because they would take time and privacy. Not that he was ashamed at all, but because he was pretty sure he'd get a good laugh out of Wufei. And the stories would take a while. Interruptions would just ruin them.

"You are beautiful." Duo shot her a glance again, his grin softening and warming. "Always have been. Just now it makes sense."

"I think I overestimated everyone, in that particular regard," she agreed with a smile, and snorted softly at the offer. "Well, if it ends up being western style makeup, I'll have you help me, but if I go for a more traditional Chinese look," she shrugged. "Even back home, you have to hire someone out of a playhouse for that."

She blushed when he called her beautiful, pulling his hand up and pressing a kiss to his knuckles, leaving behind a little smudge of red. "Ah, sorry," she said when she saw it. "It said it wasn't supposed to smudge."

"There's a difference?" Duo asked curiously. He supposed it wouldn't hurt to look up tutorials on it... But at the end of the day he was sure it would be Wufei who wanted to learn on her own. Not from some guy who had some weird skills in that area.

His hand was kissed then, strangely. And Duo laughed seeing the smudge it left behind. "It's no problem. Never believe what they say. Same with waterproof band aids. They're never water proof! Besides, I think that shade looks good on me too."

Wufei nodded. "Generally it involves makeup to make the skin lighter, blush and lipstick. If you're going back to older traditions, a design is painted on the forehead. It's not the sort of makeup most women wear on a daily basis," which was why you went to someone who did stage makeup for it.

She shook her head. "So what you're saying is I shouldn't have bothered putting it on right before I eat?" she teased lightly. "Well, it was worth a try anyway, I suppose."
