Duo was about to reply to Quatre when he heard Wufei calling over. After twisting around to look at him, he smiled apologetically. He'd not said anything for several reasons. One, out of respect for Wufei. He was usually a private kind of guy. Going around spreading his personal business didn't sound like a good idea. Which lead smoothly into two, it wasn't any of Quatre's business. And then there was three. He didn't know what to tell him. They'd not had a chance to work out just what they were.

But there was also a good chance Wufei wasn't even sure what he was telling him to do. Duo felt like he was stuck between a rock and a hard place and it made him want to blow shit up to make room.

And because he was a contrary little prick, the best way he knew to reply was by example. So he grinned, got up from the sofa and made his way over to Wufei.

"Am I sure?" He asked, his grin widening. "Tell me what you feel now." And then he reached out to grab Wufei around the waist and tugged him hard, pulling him from the counter and flush to his chest.

All of those were certainly true enough, but Wufei cared a great deal more about not having Quatre turn up and start meddling, and it sounded like the blonde was on the verge of exactly that.

He lifted a brow when Duo came over, and had to bite his own lip to stop himself from laughing as he found himself pressed to Duo, his hands sliding right back into those pockets they'd been so comfortable in a few moments ago.

Quatre was silent for a very long moment. "Oh. Oh. I. Uh..." he cleared his throat. "Oh."

That Wufei was able to hear, and snorted softly. "I think we broke him."

"His own fault for getting the wrong end of the stick." Duo sighed dramatically before he lifted the arm that had pulled Wufei in and draped it across his shoulders instead.

"Happy now?" He asked to Quatre. "I promise there's nothing to worry about." Duo went quiet for a moment, thinking his words over, before he laughed. "Call it a 'lovers tiff' if it makes you feel better. Can we go back to kissing and makin up? That's the best part. You're kinda being a third wheel, Quat buddy."

Wufei chuckled. "Just hang up on him," he replied, and since he couldn't easily kiss Duo on the mouth, he went for the neck, giving it a little nibble.

"Very," Quatre replied, managing to sound both sheepish and smug at the same time. "I'm sorry for interrupting," and then he hung up, because he definitely did not want to hear whatever was going to happen next, even if it was just kissing.

Duo just laughed and tossed the phone onto the counter before curling his arm around Wufei's head, fingers slipping into silky, black hair.

"That was kinda fun... Hope he learns to turn that thing off or he's gonna have a bad time of it." Or a good time, if he was into that kind of thing. Duo closed his eyes and couldn't help tilting his head a bit with a soft sigh of pleasure. "So... you're okay with Quat knowing about... this?"

Wufei hummed softly, shrugging his shoulders as he pulled back enough that he could look Duo in the eye. "I am, and anyone else, for that matter. I don't generally speak about my private life because my experiences with doing so have been unpleasant," he admitted. "It's not because I don't want people to know, I just don't appreciate the usual reactions to things like arranged marriages and child soldiers," he smiled at Duo. "But I believe in this case, the only reaction I'll get is a combination of disbelief and jealousy."

"You mean 'pity', right?" He grinned and dropped his hand from within Wufei's hair to just drape them across his shoulders instead.

Who would be jealous? Pity seemed better. Poor Wufei, having to suffer dealing with Duo and his constant talking and dumbassery. But, he supposed Wufei also knew what he was getting himself into. And seemed happy to do it. So maybe he was a dumbass too? Mutual dumbasses! Duo liked the sound of that.

"I won't go broadcasting it everywhere. But won't lie if asked." And private things would remain private. That was not something Duo generally spread about. He was a gentleman. He didn't kiss and tell.

Unless it was to freak Quatre out!

"You're the one they'll pity," Wufei retorted lightly. "Having to put up with the most humorless man ever to live. They think I'm worse than Yuy," and if he sounded a little smug, well. He probably was. It was hard to beat Heero at just about anything.

"I'll likely tell Sally this week. She's already suspicious that something has happened, and that woman is like a dog with a bone," Wufei sighed, giving his head a little shake. She'd already been prodding him about why he looked so much better all the sudden, and that was before they'd sorted things out with each other. "What did Quatre think had happened?"

"I know that's a lie." Or at least a misdirection. Wufei had a sense of humour. A little dry maybe. And often a little wicked. But he liked it. And he liked that Wufei now could smile and laugh at Duo's own humour.

Duo did laugh at the mention of Sally though. "To be a fly on that wall!" Her reaction would be interesting. Definitely interesting. "Uh, Wu babe? You don't wanna know... Lets just say he got the wrong end of the stick and leave it at that?"

"It's what I let them think," Wufei admitted. "It's easier than trying to figure out who wants to stab me in the back," working with a whole bunch of former enemies meant his life was easier if they just thought he was an asshole.

"I'll wear a button cam and record it for you," he replied with a smirk, only to lift a brow at Duo's answer. "So whatever it was, I'd be extremely angry?" he asked, sliding a hand free of Duo's pockets to grab for his phone.

Like Duo. It was easier letting people think of him in a certain way without having them dig any deeper. Kept them at arms length and easy to anticipate. Even if anticipating people's stupidity was something he truly hated.

"Angry... is such a strong word..." But yes, probably angry. "He meant well, if it helps any?"

"Mmmhmm," Wufei replied dryly, opening Duo's texting menu and finding Quatre's number to send him off a text. "I'm going to punch him," he decided lightly. The text he sent was pretty simple: We're sparring next time you come down. 05

Then he set the phone aside and gave Duo his entire attention once more, his hand going back into Duo's pocket. His hands just liked to be there. "Now, where were we?"

Duo sighed and just let Wufei do what he wanted to do. When the phone was put away and hands were back on him, he chuckled.

"No punching. Think we got our point across." And embarrassed him to boot. It was Quatre's own fault for that. The next question got Wufei a grin and a kiss. "Hmm... Lets see? You were usin my pockets as an excuse to grab my ass. And I was enjoying it." A hand moved to cup the back of Wufei's head as he leaned in closer. "Really enjoyin it." Duo kissed him again then, though this time he didn't pull back.

"Well, I can probably be convinced," he murmured, returning the kiss. "Especially with something as nice as kissing you," and he kissed Duo back, giving Duo's rear a squeeze as he did and tilted his head to deepen it as he pulled Duo that little bit closer. He didn't know how quickly Duo wanted to move, but he was happy to have anything that Duo was willing to share with him.

Even if it meant he didn't get to punch Quatre for whatever that little miscommunication had been.

The sound, while muffled, that Duo made when Wufei went and squeezed his ass was almost enough to make him blush. He probably should have expected the move, since he'd made a point of mentioning the hands in his pockets. But somehow Duo was still having a bit of a time separating the Wufei he knew to the one who apparently liked kissing him.

And grabbing his ass!

It was a whole new world of experiences and Duo was living for it.

Duo kept one arm around Wufei's shoulders, his hand resting at the back of his neck and base of his head, while his other arm dropped to wrap around Wufei's waist. When he was pulled closer he went. When the kiss was deepened he followed with a groan, lips parting, tongue teasing and exploring in a lazy sort of way. Duo was in no rush here. He was just enjoying the moment.

That noise shot straight to Wufei's groin, shivering a little as he let out something that was very close to a whimper. A very happy whimper, even if it was followed a moment later by easing out of the kiss to gulp down a breath. "How... how much?" he asked, not quite putting his words together as effectively as he would've liked. "I don't want to go too far," but his last relationship had gone lightning fast, mostly because they knew how precious and limited their time was likely to be.

But he and Duo had the entire rest of their lives, and it was looking to be a lot longer than either of them had realistically expected. He could do slow, if that was what Duo wanted. But that brought to the forefront another thought, and he felt his face go crimson. "Ah, and have you ever..." he cleared his throat. "Had sex with a man before?" He was a big boy, he could say the words. And turn absolutely crimson at the same time.

Wufei made a few very interesting sounds himself. Sounds he'd never expected to come from the usually stony faced man. Duo fucking loved it. It thrilled him. He wanted to chase those sounds and see what other delicious sounds he could pull from the other. But before he could try, Wufei pulled away. Broke contact and left Duo pouting and breathless.

There were words then and it took a little more concentration than he would have liked to have admitted to focus on the words. 'How much'? 'Too far'? It wasn't until the next comment about sex that Duo finally worked out what was being said and he near burst out laughing.

"I suppose... it'd make sense to ask that..." He pulled back a bit then, smiling for Wufei as he moved his hands up along the other's arms. His head cocked to the side, kind of enjoying the way Wufei was all red with embarrassment. "Honest answer? No." The corner of his lips quirked up into a smirk. "I know the, uh, ins and outs well enough." Duo moved his hands up Wufei's arms to rest on his shoulders and leaned in closer. He moved until his cheek pressed against Wufei's and his lips could brush against his ear, breath warm and soft. "Guess you could say I was waiting for the right person, gege."

The sound Wufei made at that little word was barely human. It was more like a pterodactyl that'd taken a hit of helium. He was not the least bit aware that Duo had picked up on anything remotely Chinese, let alone something so... so... Lewd.

But he knew exactly how to get Duo back for it. "Then," he said, voice rough and far lower all the sudden, "kindly fuck me."

Duo did laugh then, he was good enough to pull back so he wasn't laughing directly in Wufei's ear though.

"So forward. So bold. Wufei, never knew you had it in you!" He sounded so very pleased with himself as his hands dropped to pull Wufei's free of his pockets and tugged on him. Walking backwards a few steps he drew that beautiful, blushing man away from the kitchen counter. When he was away enough, Duo took Wufei's hand and lead him through the living room.

"That answered my follow up question though." He grinned over his shoulder and winked. "Give or receive. Doesn't make much of a difference to me." Duo's words were light, playful and teasingly cheerful, but his heart was hammering in his chest. There was nervousness there. Excitement. Never in his wildest dreams did he believe this could ever be a reality. And here he was, leading Chang Wufei into his bedroom and...

He managed a very, very sheepish grin for Duo as he was led away, but it dropped off his face when Duo said he'd been going to ask about giving or receiving. "I... what?" He was following, still red-faced but now zoning out a little as his brain tried to parse that properly while so intensely distracted. "You're not a top?" He'd somehow gotten it into his brain that these roles were hard-wired by biology and now he was trying to figure out first where he'd gotten the idea and second why it had seemed to make so much sense to him right up until this specific, magical moment.

"I've no idea." Duo laughed lightly and turned around, walking backwards into his bedroom and leading Wufei along with him. "This is a first for me, Wu. Maybe I'd like it both ways?" But even as the playful words left his lips, Duo realised that there was something a little wrong here.

Bringing them both to a stop he reached out for Wufei's other hand to take it. He gave both a gentle squeeze before moving in a little closer.

"Am I wrong? I mean, you've more experience with this than me. But I figured it was down to preference? If uh... if being..." He pulled a face then and shook his head. "Y'know something? Never liked those terms. If you'd prefer I make love to you, that's fine. But I'm just as fine if you wanna do the same to me. Or if you wanna do it some other way. But I'm not one way or another. I'm just me."

Wufei sensed the shift, too, as they both were realizing something was amiss. When Duo offered his other hand, Wufei took it without hesitation. He shook his head firmly as Duo spoke. When Duo called it making love he couldn't hide the little gasp as butterflies exploded through him.

"No, Duo," he said softly. "I just never thought about the possibility of being both. Before," with Treize, "it had always been something of a foregone conclusion, that I would be the, ah, receiving party," he was getting nervous again, and his big words were coming out like shields. "Reciprocation was never even alluded to, and it was such a peculiar thought, I--" he cut himself off before he could dig himself an entire grave to die in.

Might have been premature or antiquated, but it was a bit more less... clinical? Less emasculating than saying 'bottom'. But he did give Wufei a broad smile when he tried to use the same kind of language as himself. The smile didn't last long though, not with the rest of what Wufei had to say to him.

In the end Duo couldn't help himself. He tugged at Wufei, pulled him close and wrapped an arm around him and lifted his other hand to gently catch his chin. A gentle tilt and he leaned in for a soft kiss. "What he liked was one thing, if he was one thing that's on him. I'm not him. And you... have a choice. We can stick with what you know, but I'm an open minded kinda guy, Wu." Duo smiled again and leaned in for another kiss. "Just being with you like this'd be enough for me... You're literally a dream come true. You've no idea."

Oh, those words went straight to his center and turned him into something molten and beautiful. He returned the kiss when Duo offered it, easing himself closer and letting out a quiet sigh of delight. "I'm sorry," he kept bringing Treize up, because it was quite literally the only thing he had to compare their current situation to. "I want you," he cleared his throat again. "I want you to make love to me," and just saying it made him feel dizzy, so he leaned in for another kiss in the hopes of steadying himself.

Duo just shook his head. It... wasn't okay that Wufei kept bringing up that guy, but he could understand why. There was a little hope within him that maybe, if he was lucky, he could replace some of those memories with better ones. It was a bit selfish but Duo didn't care.

Hearing those words, a thrill ran up Duo's spine and the smile he gave could have lit up the room. He gathered Wufei in close, held him tight within his arms and gave Wufei that kiss he sought. "I want that too. I want you too." He spoke against warm lips, kissing between words even as he took a step back. Then another, taking them to the bed they would share that night.
