He laughed softly, pressing another kiss to the mark. "I do believe we found it together," he agreed, nuzzling his nose against Duo's neck. "We should probably get something to eat before we pass out," or they'd both feel awful in the morning. As much as he didn't want to move, he knew his body was going to complain if he didn't and food would have additional benefit, too. "And maybe a shower for me, I'm a mess," he laughed again.

He kept his head tilted, eyes closed and gave a soft, happy sigh. Duo was loving the attention to his neck, it was making it hard to focus on Wufei's words though. The equally happy haze fogging his mind also made thinking and forming words just that little bit more difficult.

Duo raised a hand so he could comb his fingers through silky black hair.

"You're expecting me to move...? Coulda told me an hour ago... or two..." Just how long had they been in bed for? Time had lost all meaning to him. Which meant they probably should eat. A couple slices of pizza and a hell of a workout later wasn't going to cut it.

Then he grinned. "We could share a shower?"

Wufei groaned, pushing himself up on his hands and stretching his back as he slid off of Duo and flopped onto his side with a sigh. "An hour or two ago I was far too busy to think about pesky little things like feeding myself or getting out of this bed," he replied, and leaned in to kiss that grin. "It would be environmentally responsible," he reasoned, and grinned right back as he slid out of the bed.

He wasn't even limping as he walked to the bathroom and cranked on the showerhead to a temperature that could best be described as tepid.

Duo almost grabbed Wufei to yank him back into bed, but knew there was no point. They were getting up. Still, he lay there a moment more to watch Wufei go, his grin widened.

He was a damn fine looking man. The way he moved was liquid, smooth and unhurried. It was clear that Wufei was a fighter with just how controlled his movements were. Even when he was relaxed. He could have watched him walk all night, but Wufei had already disappeared into the bathroom. So he followed.

Getting out of bed, he made a mental note to get clean bedding before they fell back into there, and then padded off to the bathroom to join Wufei.

He was still grinning even as he grabbed at the end of his braid, a thing that had somehow remained mostly intact throughout the night, and began to unravel it.

Wufei might have been a little more intentional with his movements than usual, knowing Duo's eyes were on him as he moved.

When Duo joined him in the bathroom, he had his hand under the showerhead, testing the water temperature, and glanced over his shoulder at his lover. His face lit up with blush when he realized Duo was letting down his braid, and quickly averted his gaze. As if there were anything at all to find embarrassing about the situation.

"Are you a blisteringly hot shower kind of guy, or do you prefer the water cooler?"

Duo gave Wufei a funny look when he turned away so fast. His fingers stilled, a wave of insecurity washed through him and he considered just rebinding his hair and doing his best to keep it away from the water. But quickly realised he was being silly. Eventually Wufei would see him with his hair down, he couldn't escape it completely. So he took a breath and finished what he was doing.

"Depends on a lotta things, Wu. But maybe go for somethin cooler with the both of us in there? Just not ball shrivelling cold, yeah?" Duo laughed and placed his hair tie on the sink, somewhere safe, before shaking out his hair.

"I have never in my life used a water temperature Yuy would approve of," Wufei replied with an arrogant little sniff as he adjusted the water a little warmer and stepped in. Then he looked back, took a moment to let his gaze wander over Duo's hair and...

Yup. It was having an effect. Despite the marathon session they'd just had. He blushed all the way down his chest before he averted his gaze again, and inspected the bottles in the shower, to find the shampoo.

Duo laughed. That was good enough for him!

Inside the shower there were several bottles, shampoo, conditioner and shower gel. Duo had made his way into the shower behind Wufei and reached around him to snag the half bottle of shampoo. It was lightly scented with lavender. He liked the smell and would kick the ass of anyone who questioned him.

"Are you a hair first or body first kinda guy?" He asked with a grin.

"Hair," Wufei replied, watching the shampoo dart past. "My skin does not behave well if I don't wash the conditioner off my shoulders with soap." He turned to face Duo, tipping his head back to get his hair properly soaked, and held his hand out for some of the shampoo. And tried very hard to ignore the fact that he was, somehow, half-hard again.

"Nuh-uh." He grinned and poured some of the shampoo onto his own hands. Now Wufei had turned to face him it was much easier.

Duo reached around and put the bottle back before he lifted both hands and began lathering up Wufei's silky, wet locks of pitch black hair. He liked doing this, okay? Call it a guilty pleasure. He'd washed Hilde's hair a few times, not quite like this, but there had definitely been a little pleasure in the activity.

"So you're pretty sensitive, huh? I'll remember that." As he spoke he carded his fingers slowly through Wufei's hair, then pulled his hands back so that he could gently but firmly get the shampoo worked down to the roots, giving his scalp a bit of a massage at the same time.

"I believe the week's events have made that abundantly clear," he replied, that blush roaring back to life as Duo's hands slid into his hair. He hadn't had anyone touch it in years, aside from Duo these last few days. It wasn't helping his problem go away, but he was trying very hard to pretend he didn't have it in the first place.

"Everyone at work thinks I haven't got a sensitive bone in my body, except for Sally and Une. They're convinced that Yuy and I were both made in some sort of super soldier factory," he rolled his eyes, and leaned into Duo's touch when he found a particularly sensitive spot near the base of his skull.

Duo chuckled and focused a bit more on that spot that seemed to please Wufei. He used his fingertips and sometimes his nails to gently massage.

"You musta broke the mould then. But I'm glad I get to see this side of you and no one else does." Sally and Une didn't count, they knew but didn't see what Duo was seeing. "I like this side of you."

Wufei's eyes drifted closed, smiling as he leaned into the touch, his cheeks still burning with blush. "It's only for family," he admitted softly. "It's... my culture doesn't allow affection in public," and gods, he was starved for it. It had been years since he'd allowed anyone to touch him so casually, since he'd allowed himself to return it. He slid his arms up, around Duo's neck, pulling him closer. "This smells nice," he added. "You're going to let me return this favor?" he asked, fingers toying with a little of Duo's hair.

"We're not in public. This is as private as you can get." Duo grinned but didn't argue further, what he did was allow Wufei to pull him down and when he was close enough, he kissed him.

"You wanna wash my hair too?" There was an odd little note of hope in his voice then. Duo actually enjoyed having his hair touched. Especially brushed. It's just that he'd never felt that comfortable around the guys to ask... He'd come close to asking Quatre once but realised it would probably be weird. It was a guilty pleasure, a throwback to his time at the Maxwell Church. And something he was more than happy to allow Wufei to do.

"Indeed," he agreed, and returned the kiss with as much warmth and sweetness as he knew how.

He blinked his eyes open at that little note of hope, his brows going up. "You would let me?" he said it like Duo had just offered him the sun and the moon and every penny of Quatre's net worth.

Duo pulled his hands out of Wufei's hair to cup his cheeks, smiled and leaned in to kiss him again. He lingered there for a moment longer before speaking against his lips.

"I'd let you. I'd really like it." And so, with a wide grin, he let go of Wufei's face and winked before he turned himself around. His hair was a bit more complicated. The mass of chestnut waves extended far down his back, all the way to his ass. Washing from the front would have been tricky for Wufei, even Duo would pull it over his shoulder to deal with it half the time.

He returned the kiss with a smile, and even returned that wide grin when Duo affirmed that he did, in fact, want Wufei handling his hair. He wasn't sure which part was more enticing, getting to touch something he'd considered forbidden, or the intimacy and trust the request implied.

Either way, he was going to treat Duo's hair with the care it deserved, and poured a generous helping of shampoo into his hand, starting to work it into the hair from the bottom up. "Is it rude to confess I've always wanted to touch it? To see it down like this?" The whole thing was going to be a mass of snarls when they got out of the shower, but that just meant he'd get to spend even longer with his hands in it, teasing out every little knot and snarl.

"It's not rude... If I'd known I woulda let you." If Wufei had come to him honest curiosity and no judgment he most definitely would have let his hair down, even let him touch it. It was a bit of a weird thing to consider but, now that he knew that Wufei had liked him, it made a bit more sense.

Duo gave a soft sigh and closed his eyes, head tipping back just a little.

"When I was a kid I had a complex about my hair. Hated people touchin it. When I was on the streets it earned me a bit of leeway, marks'd think I was a girl sometimes. Till I opened my mouth. Later I was bullied for it. First time in a school and I hated it. But... I liked my hair this way. Sister Helen wanted to cut it, but when I said no she braided it instead. Always had it braided since that day. She was the one who showed me how to look after it. She'd brush it out before bed every night I lived there." With his eyes closed and his back turned to Wufei, the words came easy. Duo didn't mean to say nearly as much as he did but the words just tumbled out.

Wufei listened as he lathered the soap into the long strands, and when Duo finished, he leaned forward to press a kiss to Duo's shoulder. "Then it seems that this type of affection must only be for your family, too," and if his voice was a little thick, well so what? He'd known Duo was an orphan, that he'd grown up in a much rougher environment than Wufei had been blessed with. He knew better than to ask after Sister Helen, knew that Duo wouldn't just leave family behind if they were still alive, but it warmed him to know that Duo had experienced a mother's love, even if it wasn't long lasting. "It seems likely she would be honored that you still wear your hair that way."

"Heh, nah she'd be too pissed at me for everything else to be bothered by that. She hated me fighting. So what do I do? Go join the war, get myself a big ass Gundam and go off to cause havoc and destruction wherever I went." But he liked to think she would have at least smiled at the way he kept her memory alive. Even just a little.

"She'd have liked you. Woulda called you a 'good influence' on me." Duo grinned. "You'd have hated me back then. I was a little shit with a chip on his shoulder. It's no wonder I got my ass kicked so much. Good thing I grew outta that." He was joking, or trying to. The memories of his childhood were generally painful and Duo was skirting around a good many of them, doing his best to keep things on the lighter side. Heavy conversations were for nights when he was drunk and feeling melancholy, not when he had a beautiful man stroking gentle fingers through his hair.

Wufei laughed softly, pressing more kisses to Duo's shoulders as he worked. "I probably would have, you sound like my wife," he teased. "She always wanted to fight, wanted to make the world a better place, and I had my head stuck in the library. I'd lost my parents rather young and decided it meant there was no meaning to life at all. Everything was the way it would be, and nothing really mattered."

He reached Duo's scalp, started massaging the shampoo in. "But we've both changed since then, and despite taking a violent path, we've managed to forge peace. We didn't keep fighting when we didn't have to anymore," if one conveniently ignored the Mariemaia incident, at least on Wufei's side of the equation. "We've earned this peace, if we can just let it in," he sighed heavily, fingers working diligently as he rested his cheek against Duo's shoulder. He grimaced, turned to press his forehead to Duo's skin instead. "I'm afraid I might never learn how."

Wufei didn't really know how to do 'light' conversation. He was either rude or extremely emotional, he didn't really have an in-between.

The kisses were nice, but they were just a small distraction from the sound of Wufei's voice over his shoulder. Duo felt an ache in his chest and wanted so much to turn around, but maybe Wufei felt the same about finding it easier to talk when you could hide away?

"I don't know if I wanted to make the world a better place... I was a ball of anger and hurt, I wanted to lash out..." But maybe he would have liked Wufei's wife, or she would have liked him? Duo hoped she would have.

When he felt Wufei lean against his shoulder, he brought a hand up to rest it upon his head and leaned his cheek to the side, pressing his own cheek against the top of Wufei's head. "I think you can, Wu. Together we can." He smiled gently. "You're stuck with me now."

"I may have said I was coming to change the world, but really I just wanted revenge on Oz and Treize for my wife's death," and when he'd finally gotten it, it had been bitter and unsatisfying.

He slid one of his hands out of Duo's hair so he could wrap the arm around his lover's hips. "Why do I get the feeling you'll force the peace down my throat whether I like it or not?" he asked, not quite able to stop himself from smiling, closing his eyes against the shampoo now oozing down his face.

"Yeah. Revenge." it's what had driven him too. What had driven him for a very long time. "... Maybe another day I'll tell you more of my story. I'm not nearly drunk enough."

Feeling the arm around him Duo finally turned back around and easily pushed Wufei back under the spray of the shower, the warm water cascading down around them as he leaned in for a kiss. Slow, passionate and full of love. Duo held him close to his chest, cradling him there. "Not peace..." He spoke between kisses. "Safety. Security. A home. Love. That's what I can offer you, Wu. I won't say we'll have peace. We're gonna fight and argue, someone'll sleep on the sofa at some point. But you'll always have a home with me."

Fuck. He was glad Duo had him under the water while he was saying that, because he was crying again. He returned the kisses, and even laughed when Duo said one of them would end up on the couch occasionally, wrapping his arms tightly around Duo. "Oh, good, Sally will finally get off my case about my living arrangements," he replied lightly, reaching up with one hand to wipe water away from his eyes so he could open them to look up at Duo again. "But even if all you could offer me was a single kiss, that would be enough," something to carry him through the darkest moments, when he felt most alone.
