Duo grinned. Somehow he didn't seem to mind if Wufei wanted to whip him into shape. He had a feeling sparring would be a lot more fun with him now.

"Who said I wasn't that strong?" Duo lightly papped Wufei atop his head and laughed. "Just don't need to fight for my life every day. I can still open a pickle jar without a problem." He was mostly teasing, and would have flexed his arms to just show how big and tough he was... but he was too busy laughing. "Asshole. C'mon then, move that cute butt and lemme up since apparently that's a thing we're doing now."

He laughed along with Duo, grinning as he rolled off of Duo to let him up, getting to his feet and heading out of the bedroom. "I'll get started on breakfast," he called over his shoulder, and went to the kitchen to do just that.

The first order of business was a pot of coffee. The next was getting pizza from the day before out and on a sheet pan, while the oven warmed up to toast it back to warm perfection.

"I'll be down soon." He promised, though didn't immediately move since he was too busy happily watching Wufei leave the bedroom. Only once he'd left did Duo finally pull himself out of bed and headed to the bathroom with a smile on his face.

He was stupid in love and he didn't care how dumb he might look.

Duo took his time to have a quick wash, brush his teeth and fix his hair. Brushing that was a bit of a pain after having gone to bed with it damp, but he'd wash it again later. He even went ahead and swapped pj pants for jeans and a tshirt before taking his ass down to see what Wufei was up to.

Wufei was humming a little tune to himself as he watched the coffee maker, the pizza in the oven already. His silk pajamas hung off him in a way that said he'd lost weight since buying them, but he was relaxed and smiling when Duo came in. "Pizza's almost ready. I'll go change after it comes out, and join you at the table?" he offered. "Unless you expected something a little more sophisticated, in which case you're on your own."

"Nah, this is perfect." Duo was all smiles as he walked across the kitchen to slip in behind Wufei. He wrapped his arms around him and dropped his chin onto his shoulder. "Change if you wanna. No need to rush." Only reason he had changed was because walking around topless ran the risk of him getting chilled.

"Leftover pizza is my favourite breakfast food. How'd you know that? Did I talk in my sleep?" He teased, tone playful along with the light little nuzzled he gave to the side of Wufei's neck.

Wufei leaned back into his arms with a warm hum, closing his eyes and letting himself just enjoy the moment. "This is extremely perfect," he agreed softly, settling his arms over Duo's. "And I had no idea, but it's the only thing I found in the fridge that I knew I wouldn't screw up," he chuckled warmly. "If you talk in your sleep, I never noticed. I was too busy sleeping like a baby."

Even getting woken up by Heero's call couldn't put him in a bad mood right now. Hell, Quatre and all his sisters could show up on their doorstep and he'd still be all smiles. It would take much more than that to ruin his mood.

"Guess I need to work food shopping into my busy schedule." Duo raised his head enough so he was able to press a kiss Wufei's cheek. "But real happy you slept well last night. Never had a chance to ask before." Heero's call was something of a surprise. But it had been handled well enough. The guy wasn't about to come storming in to take Wufei into custody at least.

"How were the nightmares?" He'd not woken Duo up with them so if he'd been having bad dreams, they'd not been the screaming and thrashing type. Duo was certain he'd have woken up if that had been the case.

"I suppose I should start learning to cook something more than rice and MREs," Wufei decided, closing his eyes and leaning into the kiss. "They weren't too bad. Not enough to wake me up, anyway, but still bizarre. Heero and Relena going into cryogenic sleep, and you had a son with... Hilde? Maybe? I'm not sure, but Quatre had a clone, female and twenty years younger and..." he made a face. "Not a fan."

He glanced at the clock and reluctantly pulled away, grabbing the mitts, pulling the pizza out and putting it on the stove. "Plate it up while I get dressed, hmm?"

"... Sounds like a hell of a nightmare." Duo didn't like the sound of it. At least, some of it. If things had worked out with Hilde having kids wasn't out of the realm of possibility. But the rest was just strange as hell and had Duo shaking his head.

"Yeah, go get dressed. And no more eating weird things before bed. They're not good for your dream!" Duo let Wufei go and, with a laugh, took over handling the pizza.

By the time Wufei was dressed the pizza was on plates as well as cups of coffee for the both of them, and Duo was sat already eating the crust off of one of his slices. He could have waited but... that would have required more self-control than he possessed.

Wufei hummed in agreement, and laughed when Duo blamed it on the food. "Alright," he laughed, and went to change.

He returned a couple minutes later, wearing loose pants and a tank top that looked pretty similar to what he'd worn during the war. He joined Duo over at the table, settling across from him and pulling over a plate and a mug. "So, no weird food at night. Any other house rules I need to learn?" he asked warmly, before taking a first bite from his slice.

"Hey house rule? That's more of a Wufei Sepcific Rule, until you can get a handle on those nightmares. No point in giving them more fuel. But it's also an old wives tale so it probably had nothing to do with the dreams." Duo answered with a cheerful smile. He'd been teasing then and, for the most part, he was teasing now.

"I don't have many rules, Wu. And since this is your home too now, I've even less. I've never really lived with anyone before so I'm workin this all out as I go along." And they might have only been two days in but so far he was really enjoying having Wufei around. It was less quiet.

"... I don't always like the quiet." He said, his thoughts reminding him of something. "Usually have music playing even at night. I haven't the last two nights because... Funnily enough, you being here's made it less..." lonely.

"Ah, so I get my very own set of rules, good to know," he teased right back, grinning at Duo around his next bite as he listened to Duo's words, and hummed in agreement.

When Dup mentioned the lack of music, his face went red. "Well, I don't mind music, unless I have a headache. I was raised in a family that valued silence, so I suppose there may be times when I need the quiet, but I'll be sure to tell you when that's the case," but knowing that he eased the loneliness was more than a little flattering. He reached out to touch Duo's hand, gaze dropping to his pizza. "I'm glad that I make you feel so safe."

"I think I'll need it less when you're around. But now and again..." He looked down at the hand that touched his with a soft smile before he turned his hand to catch Wufei's. He held it, fingers curling around Wufei's hand tenderly.

"You do. You make me feel safe. I'd resigned myself to live the life of a bachelor until I'm old and grey. Even if... the worst happens. My time spent with you wont be a waste, I'm glad you're here. I'm glad I was finally able to show you my feelings." It was very much an 'I can die happy now' feeling. It was his last big regret. His inability to tell Wufei his feelings had played on his mind for so many years.

Wufei’s fingers slid along Duo’s as he smiled. “Well, that makes two of us, doesn’t it? And what do you think the odds are that Trowa will call tomorrow?” He asked with a grin. “First Quatre, then Heero… it’s either him or Sally who’s going to interrupt next.” He thought it was a little funny that the others kept trying to interfere, only to find that whatever problem they were trying to fix had already been resolved, or didn’t exist in the first place.

"I vote Sally. Quatre had to have told Trowa by now. His embarrassment woulda worn off for sure." He laughed happily remembering that phone call. Even if the reason for it still pissed him off a bit. Duo still couldn't believe that Quatre's first instinct was to think Wufei was going to try and kill himself. That wasn't going to happen. Not on his watch.

"We could head em' all off at the pass if you want?" Duo suggested after a moments more thought. "We can go say hi to Sally, give Trowa a call, whatever you want." But really... he was starting to wonder if they weren't all in some conference call already swapping notes and trying to work out just what was going on.

Wufei chuckled in agreement to that first thought, taking his time with his pizza and humming thoughtfully. "That's not a bad idea," he agreed with a little nod. "And Sally'll get nosy sooner or later if Heero doesn't clue her in. Those two are closer than you'd think," he rolled his eyes a little. "Might as well just send out a mass text," he decided, and fished his phone out.

Duo couldn't help laugh. A mass text was going to get a reaction. He pulled his hand back so he could grab up a slice of pizza and watch with avid curiosity as Wufei's phone appeared.

"Wonder how long before you get your first reply?" He bit into the point of his pizza and chewed thoughtfully. Part of him didn't really like spreading around his personal life and didn't see why Wufei should either. But they had a circle of friends who were nosy bastards and who were going to get involved one way or another. So heading them off at the pass was for the best.

Worse, it was a mass text from Wufei. Tact was not exactly his strong suit.

I've moved in with Duo. Yes, it's romantic. Leave us alone.

To pretty much every contact in his phone. Heero, Trowa, Quatre, Sally, Une, even Noin and Relena. Howard, too, for some reason. Then he set his phone down on the table as it almost immediately started buzzing with replies, and ignored it as he went back to eating his pizza. Predictably, Duo's phone started blowing up, too. Asking if it was true, if he had Wufei's phone and was pranking them. Trowa asking if there was a hostage situation he didn't know about, and where.

When his own phone started shouting at him, Duo snatched it up from the table top and near choked on his pizza laughing. This was... This was beautiful! He dropped his pizza, licked the grease from his fingers and began typing.

No, it wasn't a prank.

And to Trowa? Yes. There was a hostage situation. Wufei had taken his heart and refused to give it back. Send help.

After he sent that he burst out laughing and waited.

It didn't take long before he got a call. Duo smirked and turned his phone so Wufei could see who was calling before he answered it.

"Hello." He chirped breezily.

"Drunk. High. Or both?"

"Drunk on luuuuv, sure? High on life? Undoubtedly!"

"Give the phone to Wufei."

"You're on speaker, my man. Talk freely. No secrets here!"

There was a pause.

A long pause. Before Trowa spoke in a dry tone.

"Looks like you won to pool, Wufei. You got the age Duo finally lost it spot on. Congratulations."

Wufei snorted softly. "Is this the virginity pool or the sanity pool, because I've won both," he replied, just as dryly. "You know my account number, and send it soon I'll need it for the rice cooker I'm buying us today," and took another bite of pizza.

He picked his phone up again, glanced through the messages that were all variations of 'congratulations' or 'do you have a concussion?' "If you don't believe me, just talk to Quatre, apparently his Space Heart can sense even the more carnal emotions."

"I'm aware." There was the sound of creaking leather and then something akin to a sigh. "He'd very apologetic for intruding on your moment. In his defence, you have been neglecting yourself, Wufei." While his tone was mild there was just a hint of scolding, but also of a smile. "I'm happy to hear it was nothing too serious."

Duo, on the other hand, was a little concerned that there was actually a pool on him that the guys had been betting against him. Had he known... He'd have gotten laid ages ago. Or lost his mind. Just to ruin their fun.

"So you guys can back off now, yeah?" Duo asked.

"Backing off." Trowa confirmed with a quiet chuckle. "Seems the crisis averted itself."

Wufei winced at Trowa's reply, letting out a sigh of his own. "That's true enough, I suppose, but I'm... working on it now, alright?"

He sighed again when Trowa agreed to back off. "And for the record, virginity pool on me can cash out to anyone who had 195, and that's as much as I'm willing to say on the matter."

There was an odd little silence on the other end of the phone and when Trowa finally answered, it was with a tone of deliberate nonchalance. "Noted." He'd been joking about the 'pool' to tease Duo. There wasn't a pool and most definitely no virginity pool.

Duo looked from Wufei to the phone and then back again. "Uh... Well!" Forced cheerfulness and a big grin, time to change the tone. "So what do you guys think about meeting up sometime in the near future? Been a while since we all got together right?"

"I'm sure that can be arranged. Any particular time?"

"... No idea." Duo looked to Wufei. "A week or two, maybe?"

Problem was, Heero had made several predictions that sounded a whole lot like betting pools to Wufei, so he was absolutely serious. He just didn't know how big the supposed pools were, or how his own predictions had gotten added. More to blame on Heero, no doubt.

Wufei shrugged. "Heero's attempting to kick my ass on Monday, so any time after that would work for me. I'm ground-bounded for the next year or so."

"Then the weekend after. Quatre and I'll come down on the friday. How does that sound?" Trowa offered after a brief silence and the sound of muffled talking. He'd clearly covered the phone with his hand to talk to someone, probably Quatre.

"He's really gonna do that?" Duo sighed and rolled his eyes, wondering if he maybe organise a little 'accident' that would trip Heero up and stop him. "But next weekend sounds good enough, Tro!"
