Noct leaned into the touch, closing his eyes. "Yep. You've got a cat now."

"Always thought I was a dog person..." Prompto grinned. "Think I could be a cat person too." And, since Noct seemed to like it, he kept on stroking his hair. Just lightly brushing his fingers through it and admiring just how dark and soft it really was.

The touches were enough to turn Noct practically to jelly. He let out a soft, happy sigh before letting his whole body relax. "Man...never thought being pet would feel so nice..."

"You really like it, huh?" Learn something new every day! He kind of liked the way Noct was leaning on him, too. He was practically sprawled. Prompto couldn't help grinning again.

"You're cute like this, Noct!"

Noct hummed curiously. "I wasn't cute before?" He teased. "I thought I was always cute..."

"Always cute. Now you're extra cute! Cute times a million." Prompto laughed and hugged Noct to him a little more.

Noct hugged him back, smiling. "You're pretty cute yourself." He shifted so he could kiss Prompto again, nice and slow.

A warm flush coloured Prompto's cheeks. Cute? Him? He supposed he could believe it if it was Noct saying it.

There was no reply though. How could he when his lips were too busy returning the slow, sweet kiss that Noct was giving him?

Noct raked his fingers through Prompto's hair, deepening the kiss. Once he started, he really couldn't stop. There was something addictive about kissing Prompto. After a few moments he parted and gave Prompto a small smile.

A low groan was pulled from him when fingers combed through his hair. Was that why Noct had liked it so much? Prompto thought he could definitely get to liking that.

Kissing Noct was so much better than kissing anyone else! He wasn't really sure why though. Why it was so different. Maybe it was because there were real feelings involved? Or maybe it was because Noct's lips were just that soft? Whatever it was, Prompto was loving every second of kissing! And was sad when it was over. But seeing Noct's smile soon had him grinning.

"Wow..."

Noct grinned at the response. "Cat got your tongue?" He laughed. Prompto was just too cute, and definitely nice to kiss.

"Literally." He laughed right along with Noct before he shifted to the side and dropped himself back on the sofa, laying across the seat cushions and pulled Noct right down with him.

Noct laughed and then cuddled with Prompto once he was settled. "The others might be a little surprised about this."

"Think so?" Instead of going back to pet hair, Prompto's hand ended up slowly running up and down Noct's back. "I... guess maybe? Considering I haven't technically broken up with... Y'know, it doesn't matter. I said before we weren't really official so who needs to break anything up?"

Noct's eyes slipped closed. "I think he should know that you're no longer available. Guys like that will think they own you."

"Ah yeah, well sure it's not like I was gonna hide this or anythin! I mean, I..." Prompto blinked and went quiet in thought before he tilted his head down to look at Noct. "... Are we official? Or is it too soon to say?"

"Prompto. I love you. We were official the moment you came to my door." Noct's voice was still and honest. "I'm not letting you go."

"Eh?!" What? Love? No way!

But... Noct didn't look like he was just saying it. He looked serious. And he knew him well enough to know he'd not lie about something like that. But...

"... I just thought you liked me... You love me?" Prompto's tightened a little, holding Noct closer. "I don't wanna let you go either. Ever."

Noct held Prompto close. "What's not to love? I've loved you for a long time, Prompto." Noct kissed Prompto's cheek. "I'm not a casual kind of guy."

Prompto's lack of self-esteem wanted to answer then, but he knew if he did it would probably bring the mood down and maybe bother Noct. So he just grinned instead.

"Heh, well that makes me feel kinda bad..." Not a casual kind of guy? What did that make him then? He'd loved Noct from the day he'd met him but had been too shy or scared to say anything. And now? Now he had the beautiful man in his arms and it was the craziest thing. "I've loved you forever."

"Don't feel bad..." Noct said quietly. "Love is scary...especially when you love the one person you're scared of chasing away." That's what had taken him so long. "I was happy to love you from a distance if you loved someone else...but I'm so glad it's me."

"I've never been in love with anyone else, Noct... It was always just you. I just figured it was impossible. You're a prince and my bestie and I'm... just me." And who was he really? At the end of the day he was just a nobody. He wasn't even a noble or someone rich and famous that could get away with daring to love a royal.

"Well...just you is who I love. I love how kind and genuine you are." Noct said. "You make me laugh...which isn't the easiest thing for me to do sometimes. I don't need anyone rich or overly special because what I want is you." Noct didn't care that Prompto was just an average guy. In fact, it's one of the things he loved most about Prompto.

Wow. That quickly had Prompto pouting.

Rich he couldn't do.

"... You don't think I'm special? That hurts, Noct!" He was only half joking. It hurt a little but he was laughing so it wasn't that bad. Prompto knew he wasn't anything special really. It was why it always amazed him that Noct had even given him a second glance. Why he appreciated their friendship and had never wanted to do anything to put that in jeopardy.

"No! What I mean is you don't have a title or anything!" Noct may have thought Prompto was kidding, but he didn't want to be misunderstood. "I think you're immensely special... I'm just okay being the only one who sees it...if that makes sense..."
