"... You don't think I'm special? That hurts, Noct!" He was only half joking. It hurt a little but he was laughing so it wasn't that bad. Prompto knew he wasn't anything special really. It was why it always amazed him that Noct had even given him a second glance. Why he appreciated their friendship and had never wanted to do anything to put that in jeopardy.
"No! What I mean is you don't have a title or anything!" Noct may have thought Prompto was kidding, but he didn't want to be misunderstood. "I think you're immensely special... I'm just okay being the only one who sees it...if that makes sense..."
"I'm okay with you being selfish..." He said, echoing that soft voice of Nocts. "I promise, you won't have to share me. I only ever wanted to be yours, Noct."
Prompto wasn't entirely sure Noct could promise the same. But he could promise it 'for now', at least. Prompto's promise was forever though. Now that he'd has a taste, he didn't think he could ever find anyone who could measure up. With a simple kiss he'd been ruined for anyone else. There was only room enough in his heart for Noct.
He went back to gently running a hand up and down his new boyfriends back and closed his eyes. "Yeah. I kinda like when you're selfish."
"Others would call me spoiled." Noct said. His voice soft. "For wanting this...for wanting something for myself...but I don't care...if I could, I would say we should run away..."
"Guess I'm selfish too. I always wanna be by your side, Noct. No matter what. Even if it's just as a friend. I just..." He sighed and went back to just holding Noct tight. "... I know where I'm supposed to be. Always kinda known by place is by your side."
"You will never be just a friend." Noct said firmly."I'm not about to hide what we have. I will make it very well-known. I won't let anyone say I can't be with you." Noct took a deep breath. "Because...because I always want to be at your side as well."
"... You don't get into trouble for that?" Promoto looked down at Noct in concern. He didn't really mind being a secret so long as he got to be with Noct. The thought of causing more trouble for him made Prompto feel sick inside.
"I don't care if it does get me in trouble." Noct said. "I need those that would try to rule my life know that I won't budge when it comes to you." If his dad tried to marry him off or something, he would stand firm.
Prompto didn't know what to say to that. He didn't have any words. In his heart he still believed he was no one important. But for Noct to say these things...
Words may have been hard right then, so he did the next best thing. Prompto moved his hands to cup Noct's face again and leaned in to kiss him. It was passionate straight out the door. He didn't care. There was no holding him back now. Noct was saying such amazing things, things he would never have thought possible. Things he never would have thought he'd deserve. And he wanted it. Oh gods but he wanted it. He wanted Noct. He wanted to be with him forever and to hell with what anyone else said!
"Run away...?" Now that wasn't fair. Throwing something at him like that when he was so wrapped up in kissing the man he was desperately in love with. "... Anything. Anything you say, Noct." He'd do anything. Go anywhere. So long as he was with Noct.
In truth, Prompto didn't have a clue what he was agreeing to. But did it matter? Noct could ask him for both of his kidneys and he'd reach in and pluck them out himself! If it was his to give, Noct could have it. He already had his heart.
"Not too bad yourself." He grinned as he combed one hand through Noct's hair and the other dropped to glide along his side until he reached his hip.
Noct let out a soft groan at the touch, unable to stop himself. "Prompto..." He moved his kisses from those soft lips to Prompto's neck. In the deepest recess of his brain he wondered if he was doing this right, but he felt too good to care.
It didn't matter to Prompto what was right or wrong, Noct's lips were on him and that was all that mattered. It felt good to the point he moaned himself once warm lips found their way to his neck.
Prompto gasped a laugh before he darted up and kissed Noct hard upon the lips.
"Why'd I ever wanna stop?" He asked in what amounted to a husky purr. "Do you?" The hand that had been resting comfortably upon Noct's hip gripped a bit tighter and pulled him closer to his own body.
