Sanada nodded. "I would like that. Still..." He ran his fingers through his own hair. "I should apologize to my mother first. Then, I can take my time away without worry."

"That would be a start." Yukimura eased himself off of Sanada's lap and stretched slightly. Sitting the way he had made him ache a little, he hadn't expected to fall asleep. It wasn't something to complain about though, so he went about cleaning up the tea from earlier.

"Though maybe wait at least a few minutes before you do, otherwise she'll catch my little white lie about you being asleep." He smiled playfully. "And you wouldn't want to ruin my good reputation with your mother, would you, Genichirou?"

Sanada didn't even realized his face was red, but oh, did that smile make his heart race. It always did.

"Let me do the dishes." He said softly. "It's the least I can do."

Now that was a cute expression. Yukimura chuckled and stepped away from the tray with a gesture of one hand. "By all means, I won't say no."

If it made Sanada happy to do something so little then Yukimura wasn't going to argue. Sanada could make himself useful if he was going to stay. Doing the dishes and being cute were two very good ways of being useful.

If a smile snuck its way onto Sanada's face, he quickly hid it by busying himself with the dishes. If there was one thing Sanada was good at, it was chores.

Yukimura saw it though, and his own widened.

He waited for Sanada to take the tray through to the kitchen and followed him into there. Then he sat at the table to watch him.

Sanada was diligent in his task, making sure every cup was squeaky clean. When he was done, he dried his hands and looked to Yukimura.

"Is there anything else I can do for you?"

Yukimura sat with his cheek in his hand, legs crossed and just watching his friend with a warm, gentle smile. The question was an amusing one. What else was there to do? He shook his head.

"Nothing immediately. Are you hungry? Tired still? What is it you want, Genichirou?"

"Ah..." Sanada stood there, quite lost. "I'm not hungry. If you are, I can make you something." He wanted to be useful. He didn't want to think about himself.

A shake of his head and a moment later Yukimura was on his feet. In a few steps he was stood before Sanada and looking up at him with that same gentle smile. "I'm not hungry, no."

Sanada's heart caught in his throat. "Ah..." He knew that smile. It was caring and kind, but insistent. Seiichi would not let him avoid the topic at hand. "I...just want to be useful."

"You have always been useful, Genichirou. That hasn't changed." Yukimura reached up a hand and slid it around to the back of Sanada's neck. "Who you are is still the same man I have always known. And if the path you thought you were on has changed... Well, maybe we should change it to one of our own making instead?"

Sanada's mouth grew dry. "Out own making?" He was confused. Didn't Yukikura mean a future together? Or something else? "What do you mean?"

Sanada was so very cute when he was confused. Though Yukimura wasn't deliberately trying to do that. Perhaps he was being too subtle? It made sense, Sanada was distracted, his normal ability to read Yukimura like a book had taken a back seat to the stresses of the day.

"I mean..." And then he pulled him down, a little pressure was all it took to bring Sanada down to his level. But Yukimura wasn't idle either. He leaned up a little, head tipping so that when they met, his kiss' aim was true. A gentle, delicate kiss to Sanada's lips.

Sanada froze for a moment before he took a breath and looked at Yukimura. "Seiichi..." He didn't pull away...why would he? He had always wanted this. "You're sure...? I..."

"When have I ever done anything I wasn't certain of?" Yukimura asked, he did pull away when he spoke, but only enough so he could see Sanada's eyes. Those eyes hid nothing from him. "You said you needed me. And I've always needed you. I just needed to hear those words first."

A tiny pang of guilt hit Sanada at those last words. He was so bad at talking, but he thought he hadn't needed to say those words to Yukimura.

"Seiichi...I have always needed you. If not for you, I would never have made any friends, let alone achieve what I have."

There had been no need to say them to a certain extent, Yukimura had always known Sanada needed him. But as with most things, hearing those words added just a little more weight to them. And gave Yukimura the courage to take things a step in another direction.

Yukimura lifted his other arm to curl around Sanada's neck and hold him.

"I think we made each other better people, Genichirou."

Sanada let his hands settled of Yukimura's waist. "I don't want to be without you, Seiichi. I...I love you, Seiichi." It was like it had been waiting to leave Sanada's lips. "I love you."

There were very few things that could surprise Yukimura. Today there had been two of them. But this surprise was a very welcome one.

Before he spoke, he pulled Sanada down again and kissed him. It was less gentle this time, more confident. This was what he wanted. Who he wanted. And it was about damn time.

"Always." He said then, warmly against Sanada's lips. "I have always, ever since we were young, loved you. You were the one I always knew I would be with." When Yukimura looked to the future, Sanada was always at his side. Even when he was old and grey, he would be there.

Sanada returned the kiss, worried he was awkward. After all, this was his first. Yukimura's confession made Sanada wrap his arms around Seiichi.

"I had always hoped."

His eyes fell closed. Sanada's arms were strong and warm around him, but he didn't feel smothered or like he was being crushed. Those arms, for all the strength they held, were as gentle a could be. They made Yukimura love him just that little bit more.

"My sweet, Genichirou. You've always had my heart." He kissed him again, soft and gentle, not caring if Sanada was awkward or had the confidence of a seasoned gigolo. Just being there with him was enough to make Yukimura happy. Sharing this kiss with him, loving him, what greater joy was there?

Somehow, hearing that made Sanada even happier than the kiss. He had always worried about being replaced. Every rival that vied for Yukimura's attention was another person who could potentially replace him.

But now he knew. Now he knew that he was first.

"I don't want to leave your side again." Sanada said. "However ..it would be foolish to just suddenly move out given the circumstances. Mother would fret."

"There's no rush, I don't plan on going anywhere." Yukimura pulled back with a smile, but kept his arms around Sanada. "I was serious about you staying here as long as you want. I think she expects you to stay a while. Lets give it a week and see how things go? After that... if you're happy here, there is always a place for you."

Or... "Or... I could come with you?"

Sanada smiled softly. He was still worried for the future, but to be with Seiichi through it all? An absolute dream.

At the suggestion, he raised an eyebrow. "You mean...you coming to live at the Sanada estate?"
