THE MYSTERY TEA MEME

There's nothing like a nice, relaxing cup of tea. Right?

The Rules

GREEN TEA: Makes the drinker wiser. Bear in mind that wise doesn't necessarily mean smart.

JASMINE TEA: Turns boys girly, turns girls girlier.

EARL GREY TEA: Drinkers of this tea can't tell anything but the truth.

LADY GREY TEA: Drinkers of this tea can't tell anything but lies.

STRAWBERRY TEA: Causes uncontrollable hiccups.

MINT TEA: Causes a complete personality flip. Good is bad, bad is good, etc.

LEMON TEA: Instead of flipping personalities, suddenly gain someone else's personality.

CHERRY TEA: Ever saw a blushing virgin right before being deflowered? The people that drink this tea will show you how it's done.

CHAI TEA: Causes an uncontrollable need to dance, wherever you go.

OOLONG TEA: Causes an uncontrollable need to express everything in the form of a song. It might be a song you already know, or you might find you have a hidden talent for lyrics.

ENGLISH BREAKFAST TEA: Not only will the drinker be more arrogant, snobbish and better than you, but they will also voice it. Loudly. Narcissism is encouraged. So is slapping them back to their senses.

CHAMOMILE TEA: This tea will calm you down to the point of apathy and sloth. Don't bother leaving bed, it's not even worth it.

DAFFODIL TEA: SUCH A CALM TEA AT FIRST SIGHT BUT WHAT ABOUT WHEN IT MAKES YOU TALK IN CAPSLOCK?

THYME TEA: Suddenly your clothes don't seem to fit so well! Adult drinkers of this tea will be de-aged to childhood. Child drinkers will be aged to adulthood.

DARJEELING TEA: Causes the drinker to suffer severe delusions. They might just start to think they're the Queen of England, or a tree, or any number of things. I suggest you take videos for posterity and blackmail.

BLACK TEA: Causes blindness.

DECAF TEA: Sleep, who needs sleep?

WILD CARD: Choose a tea, mix and match, or invent your own!

It was a nice, normal day, and Sanada had just received some tea from an older aunt. He was expecting Seiichi for tea, and he had the water preparing as he set out snacks.

One couldn't really tell by the calm, almost serene exterior, but Yukimura was excited. Sanada had called him over for tea. A new one given to him by a relative. One Yukimura had never tasted before.

He knocked lightly at the door and stepped back, pulling lightly at the edges of his coat to close it a bit more against the chill of the morning.

Sanada put the tea in the water to seep and went to answer the door. The smell of berries filled the air as he opened the door. "Seiichi, let's get you in here." He stepped aside to let Yukimura in.

"Yes, lets." He quickly stepped inside when the door was opened and gave an involuntarily shudder at the sudden warmth. Yukimura waited for the door to close behind him before he lifted his hands to remove his scarf first. "It is hot tea weather, for sure."

"Indeed." Sanada nodded, taking a deep breath. The smell was lovely. "My great aunt swears by this tea. She says it will change my life."

"That good? Well I'm looking forward to tasting this 'life changing' tea." Yukimura gave a small smile before he slipped out of his coat and his shoes and stepped inside.

The smell of the tea was actually very nice. Very fruity. Not what he would have expected at all.

"Go ahead and sit down." Sanada offered. "I'll get you a cup ready." He smiled as he hung up Yukimura's coat. He headed over to the now well-seeped tea and poured them each a cup.

"Here you are."

Yukimura followed Sanada inside and hovered for a moment until the tea was made. Once a cup was handed to him, he smiled and took it before turning to find himself a seat.

"It smells lovely. Did she say what berries were included in the tea?" It wasn't exactly important but he was curious.

Sanada shook his head as he sat down with his own cup. "Just that is was a blend of berries." He responded, unable to resist taking a drink. "It's sweet, but good."

Yukimura lifted the cup and breathed in deeply. It was such a good smell. It was a smell that almost made him feel hungry, like this should have been food rather than a sweet drink. But he was in no position to complain. The tea was what he was there for.

"I am fine with sweet." He said with a chuckle before taking a sip of his own and letting out a happy hum of appreciation. "Delicious."

Luckily for Yukimura, there were plenty of snacks to go with the berry tea. After all, Sanada knew how to be a good host.

"It is quite delicious."

A few more sips of tea had Sanada stopping for a moment and setting his cup down. Suddenly, he felt very strange.

"I apologize, I'll be right back."

With that, he ran to the bathroom.

Yukimura was about to take another sip when Sanada rose suddenly. A look of concern wrinkled his brow and he lowered his cup.

"Genichirou...?" But his friend was already off and left him alone. It wasn't long before Yukimura, after taking a quick sip of tea, rose and hurried off to the bathroom to knock lightly. "Genichirou...? Are you alright?"

He was not fine. Not fine at all. His insides felt like they were being mangled, and his body felt like it was shifting. He was doubled over in pain.

When he heard Seiichi at the door, he panicked. "I'm fine!" He called put, and then was immediately horrified when a decidedly more feminine voice escaped his lips.

Yukimura's brows rose at that voice. That was not the deep, warm voice he was used to hearing. He knocked on the door again, more insistent this time.

"Genichirou. Are you certain?" He called... even as he, too, began to feel a little uncomfortable.

As things settled in his body, he finally stood straight up and looked in the mirror.

And screamed.

What was looking back at him was not him. The face was too feminine, the hair too long, the body too...curvy. his clothes were loose except for in the chest and hips.

"Seiichi."

Maybe he was seeing things, so he swung the door open. "Something is wrong. Very wrong."

Something was very wrong indeed. He heard the scream but was unable to do anything as Yukimura had already fallen to his knees.

When Sanada opened the bathroom door that was the sight before him. Yukimura, on his knees, arms wrapped around his middle and his head lowered. His shoulder rose and fell with his harsh, panted breaths. And when he spoke, his voice was softer, shaky and decidedly sweeter and more feminine than his own. "Geni... I... It hurts."

Sanada was immediately on the floor next the Seiichi. "Seiichi." He rubbed Seiichi's back, trying not to note the rounder, gentler shoulders of his friend. "I don't know what's going on...please be okay..."

Yukimura leaned to the side and into Sanada before he was able to finally lift his head. His hair, much like Sanada's own, was longer now. A thick rope of dark blue hair curled over his shoulder and falling into his eyes. Eyes that widened when he saw the state of Sanada.

"... Genichirou..? Is that... is that you?"

Sanada's voice caught in his throat as he got a good look at Seiichi. He wasn't even interested in girls, but he had to admit that Seiichi was very, very pretty. "I...I think so. I mean, I'm me in my head. My body doesn't look like me, though." He looked down at his chest. "I definitely didn't have those when I woke up this morning."

"Geni..." Yukimura raised a hand to touch Sanada's cheek, then his hair. And when Sanada looked down, he couldn't help looking himself... and found warms colouring his cheeks. "... No, you did not."

Almost afraid to look, Yukimura looked to his own chest and found that he had something new there too. He had breasts. They were... smaller than Sanada's, but they were definitely new, strange and a little terrifying.

"I don't know if this is a weird dream or a strange pranks..." He looked over at where they had just been having tea. "Maybe we were drugged?" His brain was imploding at trying to make sense of all of this. "Is...is the pain gone?"

Yukimura's eyes closed as he considered the question and how he felt, then slowly nodded. "I feel... an ache still. But the pain has mostly left." His eyes opened again and he moved a little closer, reaching for Sanada. "Are you hurting? If we were drugged now did it change us this way?"

"I was hurting, but now I'm just a little sore..." He wrapped his arms around Seiichi, hating how scared and confused he looked. "Maybe it was the tea? Maybe we are just hallucinating...people don't just...transform into other people."

There were shapes where there shouldn't have been shapes. When Yukimura was pulled into an embrace he almost pulled back from the shock of it. Even the arms around him didn't feel quite right. But that scent, that warmth, was very much Sanada. And it was that he moved toward, it was for that reason he lifted his own arms and threw them around his shoulders.

"How can this be an hallucination? We are having the same one. It caused us pain. This is real, Genichirou. Just what was in that tea?"
