Now that was the smile he'd hoped for. Tachibana didn't always give them, but when he did they were like a balm upon his soul. A light in the darkness. Tachibana's smile could brighten his day.

"She's guilt tripped me enough as it is. I need to step up and take back my role as big brother!" He smirked. "You're relegated to big brother in-law. Maybe. Something like that. Wait, maybe not that!" Can't go from hand-holding to marriage, Chitose! There needs to be something between those two!

Tachibana couldn't help but give out a uproarious laugh. Senri wasn't the easiest to flustered, but when you managed it, it was a sight.

"Calm down, I'm not asking you to marry me yet." He chuckled.

Chitose dropped his head into his free hand, embarrassed with himself. He really was getting flustered. Tachibana was laughing at him. It was a good laugh, the kind that did funny things to his stomach. But it was still a bit much.

He'd just been told that his best friend liked him. No, no he loved him. His own feelings that he'd dismissed for years were bubbling back to the surface. It was just a bit overwhelming. It was a good thing though.

"Can we start over? Rewind to a place where I wasn't making an idiot of myself? Back when I was smooth and cool and wondering what it'd be like to pet a werewolf?"

Tachibana's laughter died down to an easy smile. "No way...it isn't often I get you this flustered. It's usually the other way around." Tachibana was also giddy that his feelings were returned. "Don't worry, I won't tease you too much."

Chitose gave a very put-upon sigh. "Such a jerk. Not even a little bit of sympathy for me!"

He wasn't serious, the smile he gave when he lowered the hand from his face was proof of that. "Change of subject. Are we eating or getting outta here?"

Tachibana clicked his tongue in thought. "As good as the coffee was, I feel like I owe you a better meal than a Cafe sandwich." He grinned. "Wanna come over?"

"Don't knock the sandwiches, they do good food here." But nothing and nowhere compared to the food that Tachibana made. So Chitose finished off his coffee and grinned. "You need to ask twice. If it means getting the chance to eat your food again I'll follow you everywhere."

"Oh, their sandwiches are good, but after the teasing, I feeling like I owe you a three coarse meal, minimum. " Tachibana laughed. "Besides, there are plenty of noisy people wondering what we're talking about." He motioned to their waitress who was whispering to another girl and looking over at them.

Chitose glanced over where Tachibana gestured and grinned all the wider. "Guess we weren't subtle, huh? Alright. Lets get out of here then." To do that he had to let go of Tachibana's hand, but it was fine, he needed that hand to get out his wallet anyway. "I'll go pay. I'll meet you out front?"

It was just coffee, but he'd promised it'd be his treat so Chitose took himself to the counter to pay.

Tachibana nodded, standing up and heading outside. He was still antsy, but now it was excitement. It was thrilling that Chitose had returned his feelings. He was glad he had sent that text.

Once he was done and he left to join Tachibana, he grinned and threw an arm around his friends shoulders. "Good to go? Did you drive or...?"

"Drive? No. I don't live terribly far away. It's better for the environment to walk." Tachibana said. "I'm sure you won't mind."

"Don't mind." Chitose laughed and, with a little tilt of his head, indicated they walk. And so he walked, his arm still around Tachibana's shoulders. "Just making sure." He'd not wanted to walk off only to have Tachibana tell him that he'd drove.

Tachibana started walking, chuckling. "I have another confession." He looked rather sheepish. "I sold my car."

"You did?" Chitose looked surprised by this. "Was there a reason or...?" He trailed off, not sure where to go after that.

"Well...I sort of went all in with this thought that I as going to follow you around." Tachibana laughed. "But don't worry, I didn't break my lease on my apartment."

Chitose frowned, feeling somewhat guilty now. While he hadn't forced Tachibana to do it, the fact it had been done for him in any kind of way made him feel bad.

"Kippei..." He sighed and shook his head. "That's the dumbest thing you've ever done. What if I'd have said no? Rejected your feelings and run off?" None of that would ever have happened, but in the slim chance it could have...?

Tachibana shrugged. "I mean, the car was more trouble than it was worth. I haven't had it for a while, and my life is fine without." He smiled. "And I was planning on traveling more regardless."

"Oh where you, huh? Anywhere in mind you wanted to go?" Now this was a topic he could get behind. Chitose couldn't say he'd travelled the world yet, but he'd travelled enough and had no issues with returning to certain places if it was with Tachibana.

Tachibana grinned. "I was thinking either France or Brazil." Two ends of the spectrum, he knew, bur he was thinking big! "Either of those sound fun?"

"Brazil is nice this time of year." Chitose grinned right back. "Haven't made it to France yet, or most of Europe. I've been working my way down that way bit-by-bit." He had planned to hit that end of Europe all in one go. France, Italy, Germany, Greece all the places in-between.

"On one hand, it would be nice to have someone who already knows the place lead me around..." Tachibana mused. "But on the other hand, getting to experience something new with you would be great..."

"Then how about a Europe tour then?" Chitose asked with a smile. "Start in France and work our way around?"

Tachibana knocked his hip against Senri's. "That sounds amazing. When can we start?"

"We can start making arrangements as soon as you want." If Tachibana was that eager to travel then they could start looking things up and go whenever he was ready to.
