I'm not a dog! Do I look like I have a tail or ears or a collar? No? Not a dog!

[The words are hot air as Tooru snatched the already warm jacket from Iwaizumi, putting it on with a huff, but the poutiness fades as soon as the warmth hits him, shivering less than he had before.

The fact that it smelled like Iwaizumi also was a comfort.]

You're not getting this back, y'know. All mine now~ But put my sweater on then at least, please. Otherwise I won't let you use me for warmth.

[Tooru makes sure to look in his bag and finds his hoodie that probably had been Iwaizumi's in the first place but had been passed between them so much he didn't know anymore, tossing it to Iwaizumi, giving him a Look that meant he wasn't going to stop fussing over him either.]

No, you're right, not a dog. Now you look like an angry bird, all puffed up.

[He chuckled and made a little gesture toward Tooru's hair, that now stuck up in places after he'd shaken his head to splash him.

A hoodie was thrown at him and he sighed. Fine. If it meant keeping Tooru from whining and harassing him, he'd put it on. It wasn't as good as his jacket but at least it had a hood, which he hitched up and over his head as he leaned back against the wall.]

What were you doing out in this anyway?

I'm not a bird either! You're rude, and after I let you wear my hoodie since you made me wear yours. So ungrateful!

[Tooru quickly fixes his hair, as much as it would let him without a brush or hair dryer to make it look like it normally does. He'll deal with it for now as he just plops down next to Iwaizumi, pressing himself close to one side to try and get under an arm to snuggle close.]

I was supposed to meet up with Yahaba, he wanted some advice and couldn't just ask over text or a call, so I was on my way to meet up with him when the storm hit. Safe to say that won't happen today.

Cockatoo. Maybe a chicken.

[Fixing it did very little, but he chuckled when Tooru joined him. Lifting his arm he made room for his captain and curled his arm about him.]

He going to be alright without your pearls of wisdom? Have you let him know you're stuck here?

If anyone's a chicken, it's that rooster-haired captain of Nekoma, Kuroo-chan.

[He snorts at the comparison, still a little offended at being called a cockatoo, but lets it go with a shrug and sigh; delighted when Iwaizumi lets him get closer and curl into him.]

He'll be fine, I told him that we can put it off til after the storm, which he was fine with. He called me before it began pouring, knowing I'd be caught in it to ask if I could still make it. I think he's worried about taking over as captain and setter next year.

[Tooru looks up at Iwaizumi, having curled himself up like a cat for as much warmth as he could get.]

What about you, what were you doing out in this?

[He huffed a little laugh at that. The guy did kind of look like a chicken... But now he wouldn't be able to see anything else. The next time they played together he'd be lucky if he didn't burst out laughing.]

He'll do fine. Wouldn't let him take over if we thought he'd run the team into the ground.

[While there was no way they'd be as well matched as Hajime and Oikawa were, the rest of the team were seasoned, they were ready to take on the next stage. And they'd do it with their blessing.]

Huh? Oh, I'd just come out for a run. Thought I'd get home before the storm hit, I mistimed it. Good thing I did. You'd have been out here on your own. What if you catch a cold?

[Tooru nods, he has full confidence in Yahaba taking over once he graduates. He's seen how hard the second year works, and he's good with the first years as well.]

Mhm, you're right, but I think I'm gonna work with him a little more during practices. It might help a bit, but you'd have to step up and work a little harder too.

[But then he just laughs at the answer, loving how much Iwaizumi cares about him, though actually admitting he loves him had been a challenge even while dating. Instead, Tooru just pulls him down into a quick soft kiss.]

A run, huh? And just happened to be in the same place I ran to? Hmmm... Dunno if I believe that. But you being here does keep me warm, so it doesn't really matter. And if I catch cold, won't that just mean you'll care for me and make sure I get better?

Sayin I don't work hard?

[He grumbled, considered pushing Tooru out into the rain but realised that would mean getting his jacket went. Luckily before he could get his hand up to hit him, Tooru had taken the initiative and kissed him. Hajime blinked. Then smiled.]

And now you're suggesting I'm stalking you? Who'd wanna stalk you? [Hajime laughed and wrapped an arm around Tooru more to pull him closer to his side.] It's a small world. But no catching a cold.

[Though he would look after him if he did. Hajime would just mock him at the same time.]

You work just as hard as everyone! I meant doing more work with the team if I'm working with Yahaba more. Do more as vice-captain, duh. And you'd always find a way to make sure I don't overdo it on anything, even getting caught in a storm, don't deny it.

[His teases aside, Tooru presses himself closer as he's pulled closer. He does feel a little bad with his soaking wet hair getting the sweater Hajime's wearing wet, but at least it's not as wet as Tooru got.]

Yessir, I won't catch a cold, but you better not either you hear me? Don't get sick and leave me to take care of the team while you're laying around. Captain's order!

[Even though between the two of them, Tooru was the likelier one to get sick with how wet he was.]

[He gave a low huff of a laugh and then nodded. He could do more. If Oikawa was doing his part then he'd help out more. Maybe he could do something similar and take them each on, one at a time and give them individual attention and advice? He'd think on it more but it sounded like a good way of going about it. And seemed to be working for Oikawa.]

Why would I deny it?

[Iwaizumi doesn't care about the damp hair at all. All he cared about was keeping Oikawa close to his side and as warm as he could.]

Cold's never catch me. And even if it did, you'll love playing nurse for me, don't deny it.

[He knew the team well. Their strengths and weaknesses, it was his job as captain and setter to know those things and work with his spikers. But he also trusts Hajime to take care of them as well.]

If you denied it, I'd just wear you down like I always do. I wore you down enough to make you mine didn't I? My plan all along since we were kids!

[Now that's a tease, and a smirk with eyes full of adoration for the other boy. He didn't actually think he finally wore Hajime down with his antics for them to get together, but he could tease.]

Of course I would! Who better to look after you than me? Nurse Oikawa-san, at your service!
