[Zack hadn't noticed a thing. He was completely oblivious! Well, mostly. He noticed the fans and wondered just how Sephiroth could deal with those people hounding him without going crazy!

Then he felt a bit jealous. He kind of wished he had fans like that. Maybe one day when he was a big hero like Sephiroth he'd have a swarm of hot babes after him? He'd wandered off in disgust. The hotness was lost on Sephiroth and it was a crying shame!

A while later, whistling a jaunty little tune, he found himself wandering into the breakroom for a drink, only to find a rare sight. Sephiroth on his own. Zack made a show of looking around, then stepped back and leaned out the door to look around before leaning forward and stage whispering.]

No fans?

[He grinned and straightened up.]

How'd you lose them this time?

[ It was testament to how profound the changes really were that Sephiroth didn't hear Zack coming. He actually started, and when he turned toward the other man that only made things worse.

Sephiroth didn't yet know the color of Zack's eyes, just that it was intense and he found himself staring for a second longer than necessary.

Which meant he missed the question. Sephiroth contemplated ignoring Zack. It was what he usually did to people when he was unsure about things, but somehow that didn't appeal to him at the moment. ]

The entourage! The bevvy of beauties that follow your every move. [Zack had been grinning, but the smile had turned somewhat curious and he took a step closer.

He could be oblivious about a lot of things. Mainly things about himself. But when it came to others he could afford to be a little sharper. Which was why he realised that something was 'off' about Sephiroth.]

Is everything alright? They didn't do anything weird to you did they?

[ Sephiroth blinked once and then turned back to the vending machine without saying a word. It wasn't because he had decided to ignore Zack after all but rather because he still didn't have a clue what was going on. ]

No.

[ They hadn't, so it was the only answer that made sense.

Sephiroth punched the button for the first thing that came to mind. It was, quite unfortunately, a bag of the cheese flavored chips to which Zack had introduced him. Sephiroth picked it up out of the bin and stared at it instead. This color was certainly...bright. ]
