It's simple: one character is in another's lap, and eventually the two get hot and heavy. Whether it's a friend sitting on a lap because there's no room, couples cuddling, or a stripper giving a lap dance, one thing will lead to another...after all, the loss of personal space can certainly set actions (and more) in motion.

It's no lie -- without ~~Akira~~ Ren around, things have certainly become a little on the dull side. But that was to be expected -- between his departure home, no Metaverse adventures, and Haru and Makoto graduating and moving on to college full time, Yusuke attending an entirely different school and... well, being Yusuke, there hasn't been a whole lot to do. The only ones left in Shujin are Ryuji and herself, and Futaba's only just started to attend herself.

She's had plenty of modeling gigs, of course, even with Makoto breathing down her neck about studying. Which is what's lead both of them here to the near empty LeBlanc, sipping on coffee with books open and pencil against paper. That's how it started, at least.

It's amazing how much Sojiro trusts them, considering how he'd said he was leaving, but since they were so caught up in their studies, they could feel free to stay for a few more hours so long as they promised to lock up. Huh.

This is what leads them to the here and now -- studying hasn't been a thing in well over an hour and a half. The TV has been flipped on again, a quiet droning in the background because it's late and there's really nothing to do. She's even taken their dirty cups, washed them, and replaced them.

As she heads back out from the kitchen, she glances around; there's no one else around, they're the only ones here. She knows this already. She's not even sure what's gotten into her, other than having a ridiculous urge to be playful and maybe flirtatious, to get some sort of hilarious reaction out of her poor companion.

It's why, with a heavily over dramatic flounce, she 'trips' -- which is clearly not a trip at all, but more of a flop -- right onto the poor man's lap.

"Oooooops. My bad!" Except she doesn't look very sorry, the way she's clearly smiling.

Bored. Bored, boring, boringest. Ist. Whatever! It was boring! How could you go from saving the world (or at least Japan) to just being normal and expect to like it? It made Ryuji twitchy and restless and he actually hated it. He'd found himself running more often. He'd pretty much worn a groove in the track at school.

It was just him and Ann now. And he liked Ann. She was fun. She was good people. But without the gang... sometimes it felt awkward? Ryuji didn't know why and didn't dwell on it too much. That's when headaches would start and those he didn't need.

Like the one he had now.

Makoto hadn't just hounded Ann. She'd pestered him too. Which was how he found himself at LeBlanc studying. At least as far as the Boss knew they were studying. They had been, honestly! But after a while all the words just blended together and once they were left on their own... the books were ignored. Tv it was! Only there was shit all on.

Ryuji was flicking through the channels while Ann went off to clean their cups, he thought maybe he'd found a half decent movie when he realised Ann was back and... Wait, what? No way was that a trip! She had moved to his side of the table and before Ryuji could ask what she wanted she'd 'fallen' into him. ONTO him! Directly onto his lap. And she looked way too pleased by it! Ryuji had half a mind to push her off! Might have done if the other half hadn't short circuited.

"Whoa, hey what're you doing? This isn't time for games, you coulda killed me!"

Honestly, out of all of their friends, she hangs out with Ryuji the most. Even when Ren was here, generally she stuck with Ryuji when they weren't all doing group things. So, as awkward as it can be, it's just... she can't really place her finger on it, but it's also normal, and the fact that he doesn't seem to mind hanging out with her is an absolute plus too, if anyone asks her.

Listen. Was it the most graceful fall ever? Nope. She banged her elbow against the countertop and the reverb knocked a few creamers over. Is this something she's proud of? Yes. Because the look on his face makes it all worth it.

She flashes him a smile, looking quite pleased with herself, before she shrugs and feigns an innocent sigh.

"Bored," is the first answer he automatically gets, before she snorts at that last bit. "Hey! Are you calling me fat?! Anyways, even if that were true, aren't you supposed to be strong? You're always running and hitting the gym, there's no way little old me could kill you just by sitting on you!"

"I never said that! I just meant... from the shock, yeah! That's it, the shock!" Because no way was he going to suggest, even in passing, that Ann was fat. Even if in the unlikely chance she had gained weight (which she categorically had NOT), Ryuji had learned his lesson on mentioning it. Now he wouldn't even think it. Ann's temper was legendary and he didn't want his balls crushed under her boot!

He may have been exaggerating a little, but he let out a breath when Ann changed the subject so he could get far away from talking about a woman's weight!

"Ha ha yeah, well I guess you got me there!" Ryuji grinned wide. He did go to the gym and he did run and it was really warming to know Ann recognised these awesome things about him. "You're not really heavy at all. Just surprised me. You alright though? You knocked the table right?"
