No! Perfection takes time, geez!

[This was a lot of pressure, okay? This could be his one and only time to get to do this and he really, really wanted to impress Noct. If he was successful maybe, possibly there was a slight chance all his homebody friends might be willing to go clubbing more often. Hey, it could happen!]

Don't forget you promised you'd dance with me a couple times. You lost that bet fair and square!

[There was no way of twisting to hit him and no way that Prompto could get the full impact of his eyeroll, so it was really only for his own benefit.]

[While he wasn't all that keen on the public aspect, dancing with Prompto... wasn't nearly as unattractive a thought as Prompto seemed to think. Noct wanted to reassure him about that but the words just wouldn't come to him. So he sighed.

If it was any other time he would have enjoyed Prompto brushing his hair. It it wasn't just brushing. It was styling and messing with... Couldn't he just, play with it? Run his fingers through it. Something like that? Could he not just do that so he could find an alternative way to spend the night instead of getting sore feet?

Oh well, a deal was a deal. He had to do it now. But Noct was still going to pout.]

[Prompto feels his confidence waver slightly, but that just means his smile gets brighter and his tone more enthusiastic to cover it up. It's fine! He won't really make Noct dance with him if he really doesn't want to. He'll be super stoked the guy is even in the building with him putting up with his music and stuff. That alone means a lot to him.

He picks up the scissors one more time and gives his friend just a little more shape. There! It'll make his wispy hair even bouncier and really enhance his adorable bedhead look. He runs his fingers through the dark locks a couple times with a satisfied nod.

[Before Prompto could go away, Noct had leaned back a bit more until his head was almost resting in his friends lap. The fingers within his hair had left far too soon, but he could at least give Prompto a smile. Upside down as it was, it meant the same.]
