MOVE IN TOGETHER meme

After months and months of dating, or at least love/lust from afar or admitted chemistry, you and your special someone are moving together. Maybe it's into your dream home, maybe it's one of your places, perhaps it's a hole in the wall and the only place either of you could manage. Still, it's yours, and that makes everything more than all right. You're on your way to domestic bliss - or will you both realize that living together can mean a few more disagreements and a few less rose-colored glasses than there were together? Cooking and cleaning and other chores for two are no easy job. And, of course, you have to be prepared for a greater level of intimacy, in whatever form that takes.

How to Play

Comment with your character, gender preference, and any preferences such as no smut, fluff only, yes smut, angst, etc.
Reply to others.
Feel free to play any scenario, any angle, any scene taking place from the moment of moving in onward. You don't even have to really play it straight - maybe your characters are having to live assumed lives and under new identities.

"Then you clearly have no need of me." Loki pointed out calmly with just a hint of a smile. Yuuta was still tormenting him and while he was driving it wasn't fair at all.

"Well, I do prefer you. You're much more cuddly than those two are."

"Well I think I can be cuddly on my own in one of the spare rooms tonight." If Yuuta was going to tease him Loki would have to fight fire with fire.

Yuuta chuckled softly and gave Loki's leg a gentle squeeze. "I'd just have to come find you, then."

Loki patted Yuuta's hand before removing it and putting it back on the wheel. "Of course you will, love."

Yuuta smiled and relaxed into the seat of the car. "Damn right I would. It's weird to sleep without you now, I'm getting used to snuggling up to you."

He chuckled. "I knew there had to be an ulterior motive to you wanting to live with me."

"You know it. You've got me spoiled, you know."

"Is that such a terrible thing?" Well maybe it could have been a terrible thing had it been anyone else. Though Loki didn't think he'd had a chance to really spoil Yuuta yet. And he didn't think he had to. The teen didn't seem like the kind of guy that would be swayed by money and material things so Loki wasn't inclined to throw expensive gifts at him. At least not as a means of earning his affection. That he had earned all on his own somehow.

Yuuta smiled and shook his head. "Not at all. I love being spoiled by you." Even though he knew his family loved him, it was nice being the one who came first to someone. It was one of his favorite things about Loki.

"I'll remember that." Loki tried not to sound as pleased as he was but it was a hard thing to do. Yuuta had pretty much given him permission to spoil him rotten and there was no way he was going to let the teen take it back.

The tone of Loki's voice was a little bit suspicious. He gave his lover a curious look, trying to determine the man's intentions. "Why do you sound like you're scheming over there?"

"Because I am." He answered, completely unrepentant and smiling happily to boot. It was nice having turned the tables somewhat. Now Yuuta was the one looking uncertain and Loki was trying hard not to laugh.

Arching an eyebrow, Yuuta made the little stuffed bunny give Loki a skeptical look as well. "Do I need to be worried about what you're scheming?"

Loki glanced over and gave his young lover a broad and very charming smile. "Would I ever do anything that you would need to worry about, Yuuta love? I was just thinking about... how interesting having you living with me will be."

"Uh huh. I'm sure." Yuuta chuckled softly. "I know I'm looking forward to it."

They were close now. "Almost home." He liked the sound of that. It had been far too long since he'd had a partner, someone he cared about. It had been a long time since he had wanted someone in his life. But he supposed that getting hurt was the risk you took with love. And if he was falling in love with Yuuta then it was something he would have to get used to. For the time being though, what they had was damn close to perfect. For what it was at least.

"Good. I can't wait to get settled in." Yuuta beamed. He was thrilled to be getting to move in with his lover. "I'm glad to be moving in with you."

"You've said that," Loki pointed out with a laugh. "Several times in fact." It was cute, Yuuta seemed honestly excited and Loki really hoped that excitement was well founded. He wanted his lover to enjoy his time with him.

He was smiling as he turned the car into the long drive up to his house. Once there he parked out front and honked his horn twice to let those inside know he was home. "Here we are. Now lets get everything inside so you can do that whole settling in thing."

Almost the instant the car was in park, Yuuta was out of it and grabbing his things. He barely remembered to leave the stuffed rabbit on the seat, he was so excited.

Loki was laughing as he exited the car and was damn glad that Yuuta had at least waited for him to stop before he tumbled out onto the drive.

Behind them Shuichi had come jogging out to lend a hand, having heard the honking of the car.

"Hey there, new roomie!" He called, waving at Yuuta as he rounded the back of the car to join the teen and Loki. Upon seeing how much Yuuta actually had though, Shu looked shocked. "Is this it? Dude, where's your furniture and stuff?" For a guy who'd been living on his own for a while he didn't seem to have much in the way of worldly belongings. Shuichi shrugged and grabbed a couple of boxes. "Eh, whatever! Less to haul inside I guess!" He grinned and trotted off up the stone steps to the house and disappeared inside with Loki shaking his head behind him and sighing.

"A whirlwind that boy... You'll get used to him."

Yuuta hefted the duffel bag and his tennis bag a little higher on his shoulder and snorted softly. "He doesn't know I was living in a dorm, does he? I mean, where would I even put my own furniture in a school dorm."

"You know, I don't think it even entered his mind," Loki laughed as he gathered up the last of the bags and hefted a box under his arm. "Though that does remind me, if there's anything furniture wise you feel you need that you don't have, make me a list and I'll get you hooked up." He was grinning as he ascended the steps up to the front door. Of course he and Yuuta would be sharing a room for the most part, but Loki also planned on having his lover have his own room for privacy.

Yuuta swooned a little internally as Loki spoke, almost forgetting how rich his lover was for a moment. "I will. But I doubt I'll need anything." The house was far more furnished than his dorm had been, after all.

Yuuta said that now, but give him time he would undoubtedly find something he needed. It was an open ended offer and Loki was determined to make sure that his lover had everything he wanted, needed or desired. He carried the things into the house and directly up the stairs to his bedroom. Shuichi had already left his boxes there and had clearly left for better things since he hadn't bothered to wait around.

he set the things down by the foot of the bed and turned to wait for Yuuta. His younger lover would know where he wanted to put everything.
